Another question about testing

During treatment and up until a year after it has ended I have been using Quest's Heptimax for viral load tetsting.  I recently lost my insurance so now pay out of pocket so I am considering a cheaper alternative viral test by LabCorp called Quantasure.  It's $300 dollars compared to the Heptimax which is nearly $500.  Has anyone had experience with the Quantasure test and is it as reliable as the Heptimax?

Thanks,
Saint

I agree it's just that he's nervous.  Seriously I'm done with having doctors tell me "why not" uh cause they are tres expensive el doctor and I don't need it.

Ain't got it and ain't going to reinfect myself so time to say adios to thinking about it any longer.

It's just hard cause we are all wierd.  ;)

At a year-plus SVR, I'd think that a pcr more frequent than every few years is unnecessary.  I wonder if even that much testing is needed.

if you were to have relapsed your VL would be much greater than any difference in the tests.  Remember my first post tx VL was positive - I didn't believe for a minute that I had succeeded but at '60' the docs assured me that it was false or it would be in the 100s of thousands.

He was right, I've tested neg ever since.
