new labs

okay, just got my independent labs back. pcr is<43, range is 43 - 69,000,000. this was not the test i wanted but it will work. my question is protein and albumin are 6.5 and 3.9 respectfully. alt 26 ast 24 bili is good. what can i do about alb and pro being low? also i went to doc today and i had to sign another release that changed the routine. i now have to bring my first morning pee in to my appt. With low albumin and protein along with this change im thinking kidney problems arising?  the release is worded differently, i will sit and compare tonight and see what they slipped in or out.

hi, i dont know if i have high levels of anything. my idea is that because my protein and albumin are lower than usual thats why they want first morn urine to rule in or out kidney issues

At the beginning of TX I started a huge graph to keep up with all the numbers and made notes on what everything actually meant.  On the tests done by my lab, you are within normal range but the range is set by each lab according to what's normal for them. The fact that they want urine means they mean to rule out kidney damage.  That is only one possibility for high levels, so try not to think about it too much.

There is a site called lab-tests-on-line that gives some decent explanations of the various tests, also the VA hepatitis site and Janis & freinds sites.
