Thanks for the input. I can actually put up with and control the knee pain but the neck/ shoulder thing is very aggravating. It brings back some very bad memories of when I had it before. Seems like I had it forever when I was younger and man was I relieved when it finally went away. Hate to see it back in the middle of this treatment. It could very well be stress related and the doc kinda leans that way (doesn't specifically relate it to sx). Hopefully it does go away when I finish treatment (or before). Thanks.
I started experiencing pain in my left knee 3 months into Peg and Riba...never injured it in the past. I am now 5 weeks post treatment and the pain has subsided some but my knee remains swollen and stiff. I will have a steroid injection on the 23rd to try and knock that swelling down. Yes, it is very common for joint pain or old injury aggravation. Many come here with the same issues...some resolve and some do not. Just know that it is very common and hopefully you get better when TX is over.
Not sure what the medical profession say about all that, but I broke my shoulder middle of last year, and I have been on triple (Incivo) TX for 3 months, and my shoulder is pretty fkd. After no pain, lots of pain in shoulder and muscles. I understand many treaters have pain where old injuries have occurred. The nurse at my clinic says many have complained about ache and pain in old injury spots. Some of these people now permanently suffer from arthritis in those areas. I would be surprised if there are any long term studies about lingering Sx from TX, but there sure is plenty of anecdotal evidence.
