Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is known to be sexually transmitted among HIV positive men who have sex with men, but HIV negative men may be at risk as well, according to recent reports.

Sexually transmitted HCV is a very low statistic. Less than 1 percent if with the same partner and approx. 2 percent with a more liberal lifestyle. Now, although it is highly suggested menstrual blood should be avoided, recent studies (primarily med journals online library through university of Michigan portal) show it has not increased the incidence of Hep C by any significant factors. With this being said, not enough studies have been done on non-heterosexual and anal sex to know for sure if this statistics increase the risk more then traditional sex when blood has been secreted during sex. I have read the risk to be as high as 4 percent. With sex being the least transferrable attainment of the disease, shavers and toothbrushes are within the same risks, By far, IV risk is the number one factor (aside from receiving blood product directly), to contracting HCV. HBV is completely reversed in the transition rates being closer to IV transmissions. Always get tested after unprotected sex and 2 more times at 3 month intervals. However, I hope this eases your stress. Please, no hater responses suggesting I am encouraging this.
You should use barrier protection
Respect yourself and your partner enough to play safe
Risky business. You may want to get tested and choose your partners wisely.

And not only for hep c, but also HIV. Especially with a stranger. Very risky.
Yes, it is definitely a risk factor for hepatitis C. Any rough sex where blood is exchanged is risky.
