rash

Need some advice. In shanghai week 10 of tx this morning found that I have a rash on my upper body not sure if it is the famous ribo rash.

Drinking lots of fluids and using lotion on my body. Can't really go to a dr. here as I think it would be hard to explain. Just trying to figure out if it is the ribo rash or something else.

basicly it is from my waste to chest reddish and raised. not itchy dosen't hurt just aware of it.

thoughts advice

When I got nailed with riba rash, that is exactly where it was. Fortunately it did not hit my extremities or head.  I looked like I had the measles or something.  I think heat triggered it for me.  THat is when I cut all the tags out of my clothes and threw away anything that was itchy like old polyester.  Go for soft old clothing, preferably cotton and use Aveno lotion, unscented, and whatever you can to help.  I also found a benydryl spray which works well but takes ahile to dry.

I have been thinking of you with typhoons in China but don't think you are near where they are.  Still, you are my only contact in china, so you have been on my mind.  Sorry the riba rash had to hit you out of town like this.  When do you return?

Sounds like the riba rash.  I did what NY girl told me to do about the Gold Bond.  Started using it before starting tx 3 to 4X a day and I have never had a rash yet to date, It really works.

It sounds like it...mine itched like MAD though. You are lucky!

If you can't find the Gold Bond try another nice thick lotion that doesn't come off easily.  Make sure you moisturize your entire body at LEAST 2x a day and it should go away...that is what finally cured mine.

I could be the start of a bad case of bird flu. I could be wrong.

My Ribarash , is about two in. by two in , red and raised like you discribed. I use 1% hydrocortisone cream and the ever popular
Gold Bond Triple Threat super sauce (green bottle) daily. I'm in week three with it and it's finally starting to fade and really never has itched much. I am developing a spot right in the middle of my back that I can already tell is going to be really fun.

It sounds like the rash a lot of us have gotten. If you can't find Gold Bond try burnt motor oil. It works on dogs with the mange (spelling). I would stay clear if at all possible from doctors there. They could goof up and treat you with something that Ajax won't take off. Good luck to you and come home. I've been fortunate and wiggled out of trips to Poland and Korea in the past three months. It's not the going its the 20 hours flying to Korea in each direction I don't think I could stand. Again good luck to you. Dale
