Feeling Guilty for not Feeling Sick

I started my triple therapy for Hepatitis C with Incivek on Friday, July 15th, 2011.  I have had no side effects so far.  I was treated twice before and it did not work for me. I had awful side effects both times. I read about all these horrible side effects people are having and I can't help but feel guilty for feeling fine.  I know it's early in my treatment - but the journey is so different this time. I'm confused.

Hey Liz!  Maybe it IS a Liz thang!!!  I just did my second shot last Friday, the 22nd.  I have my blood work done this coming Friday.  I can't wait to see how I'm doing!!!  I imagine the Incivek plugging up those nasty ol' Hepatitis C meanies and the Interferon and Riba blasting away at them as they spin off into nothingness!  POW!! Game Over!

I'm glad you are feeling well, too.  I have good and bad days, too, but my bad days are not nearly as bad as they were the last two times I tried to get rid of this thing.

Good luck to ya!  Keep in touch - Liz in CC Texas

hey Liz, from another liz, maybe it's a liz thing.  My sx aren't bad either.  They seem to come and go, some days are good, some less so, but even then not too bad.  But, I only had my 2nd shot on Tuesday, so we shall see...

Congratulations, though, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will do just fine, sailing through treatment!

So Very,Very nice to hear a positive response to treatment. Makes you think  That maybe its not going to be all bad. I realize it isnt going to be a walk in the park or a day at the beach but I'm not looking forward to going to Hell either. Going tomorrow FINALLY for my EGD before Md. would start treating me. Hope that goes well and I can close this chapter in my life. And still be able to work.

I started two weeks ago as well and my sides are mild. I don't feel guilty, I feel very thankful. Just keep posting as you go along and let others know how easy this can be for some. It will help people who are afraid to treat. Isn't it amazing how many people are having so little bad side effects ???

I wouldn't feel guilty, I would be thanking God that I was doing so well and praying that its not a fluke and catch up with me. Good deal for you I say and very happy that someone is doing ok on treatment so far. :)

My side effects are not so horrible either, and I am on triple therapy.  But I have "strange" effects, like the heels of my feet are so hot they are on fire.  This time I do not have any of the itching and last time it was beyond horrible.  This time I am either constipated or completly the other way.  And this time I am exhausted, especially trying to work full time.
Good luck with successful treatment.

My sides were not bad from the double therapy -- don't know how I will handle the triple.  Enjoy it while it lasts.

So good to hear about the mild sx so far.  Hope it continues.

And thank you for posting since, as Will said, we often don't hear from those with few side effects.

The truth is the many folks only have mild side effects. However we usually don"t hear much from them....nothing to feel guilty about...good luck with your results.
