"Hand in there"
I Tried that to but it didn’t work either
It has affected my drive in that I am so tired after work and uncomfortable in my own skin I am not immediately in the mood for it. I also fall asleep before the kids and my husband.
I try to find the time and the proper environment at least 1 x a week but before TX it was more frequent. My husband has been a pretty good sport about it. It's hard for others to know how uncomfortable you can become on this TX.
Hand in there this should pass. Imagine how great it will be when you don't feel like s***!
There is not a lot out there on the relationship between the two but this may help.

Sexual Desire, Function, and Satisfaction in Men Undergoing Treatment with Interferon-based Therapy for Chronic Hepatitis C
http://www.hivandhepatitis.com/2008icr/aasld/docs/111408_a.html
This is an interesting topic. I've read an Italian study that said men who had Hep C had THREE times greater chance of impotency as men without Hep C.
I've also read elsewhere that HEP C has toxic effects on the body and can change and lower testosterone levels, which would account for the impotency.
For those on treatment, you're introducing more toxins into your body. I wouldn't doubt that it would have an affect on the body's delicate hormone balance. It should be temporary and I think your sex life should be better after treatment when BOTH the Hep and the TX toxicity is gone.
In my experience-the first 12 weeks.....interest=not so much. After that....not a problem =) I don't know what week you are in or if you are on anti-d's (I am), but things may change.
Tx...ever-changing adventure
.i may say way too much and put myself between a rock and a hard place....pun intended...all i have to say is i have no problems in that dept....i have a problem keepung it down...LOL
I don’t know about everyone else but for me, I had no desire for sex at all. I am sure the Anti-D. probably didn’t help matters. For the first time in my life, sex was to much like work and it just wasn’t worth it. As my recovery progressed so did my sex drive.
Don't worry, it will grow back.
Thank you, I'm 12 weeks into treatment and this is now showing up
Since I am not a man, I cannot speak from experience. But one of the possible side effects listed is temporary impotence.
