To have to go through that again terrifies me,I have all my strenght, curly hair, stamnia, but most of all my humor back...........To lose it again, I realy dont think I will be able to do tx  again so early. Mybe if it was 3 years later I could but not right away, but it might be to late then, what would you do????????

Nice to see a post from you, did you take your wife out for that lobster dinner?  Try not to worry because I have the little rashes too and was UND 3 months post and still having them, but having the rashes do not mean you have relapsed.  Like Marcia pointed out if you were UND at 3 months your chances are good you still are.  Keep us posted.

Arg....I hate getting my post PCRs.  Try not to let the worry rule.  As others have asked....have you had any other than this 6 month one?  If you've been UND so far, your chances are pretty good.  Yay for you!!!!

Sending positive thoughts for SVR!!!!!!

Let us konw how it turns out.

Did you have a 3 months post PCR?

I'm just asking, because if you were UND then, you would have very little to worry about and that could maybe put your mind at rest.

It's difficult to say how to tackle it, some people worry a lot and others don't. I didn't worry, as I knew that there was nothing I would be able to do. Whenever the doubt/worry would try to creep up on me, I would get my state of mind out of it immediately. I really did not want any fear ruling my life. I was prepared to redo tx as soon as possible, if I didn't make it. My motto has been prepare for the worst, hope for the best. But that's how it works best for me. I think we all have ways to trick our minds, just need to find what works best.

I hope you will be able to overcome this annoying fear and  That you will achieve a big fat SVR!!!

Marcia

it's pretty easy to panic in the post TX period, especially right around the check-up visits.  I think we all do it.  What they don't tell you when you finish with the drugs is that they have caused such radical alterations in body systems that it can take a good while to straighten out everything.  The drugs leave your system in a reasonable period of time, but your skin, GI tract, immunity have to get back to normal on their own.  May take longer than the doctors predict.  I'm getting a little bit of rash off and on, too, and know that the interferon is still making me a little allergic to myself.  The 6 month post TX PCR will reassure us both.  Looking forward to your SVR declaration in December.

it is hard not to worry with this disease. have you had any other post tx pcr's done or at least end of tx?  If not when was your last pcr test?

How about pcr's during tx? If you had tests throughout and were clear then this can sometimes put the mind at ease.

Good luck with your upcoming test. I also will be doing my 6 month post test next week.
