HCV is transmitted blood to blood. When first diagnosed I was worried that swimming with shaving cuts on my legs would kill all my friends...but then I googled, did research, learned a ton here and now swim with no worries.
Hopefully no one is peeing in the pool anyway. That's gross. We tell our pool party guests to go in the yard, far away from the vegetable garden.
Good luck to you.

I have a subtle sign by my pool that reads No P. Keep your pool well chlorinated if people are coming over to pee in it. Better yet, when they knock on your door to come and pee in your pool, instead, direct them to your bathroom. Elementary my dear...

You may be thinking of Hepatitis A. Hep A is transmitted via oral/fecal route, and can be caught by an infected person defecating upstream of a drinking water source. Hep C is vectored by blood as already mentioned above.

plain and simple. NO..
You need blood form an HCV positive person to enter directly into another persons bloodstream.
hmmm, I dunno, it is blood borne so just maye if they are peeing pure blood and you have an open cut and the chlorine doesan't kill it.
