Terrible reaction to Hep b jab

Eight after the first hep B jab I experienced itching over my face and chest, had a headache and slight nausea. I then had a seizure with spasms and vomitted afterwards. Ten days after the second jab I had an attack of shaking and the room went sort of foggy. A friend I was with said that I turned very grey and vacant. Six hours after the shaking attack, I had what I can only describe as a stroke. I experienced that sensation you get before you pass out accompanied by a cacophony of noises that seemed to merge into each other. I had chest pains and my left arm seemed to want to curl or clench into my side. I managed to lay down and get myself into the recovery position; I don't know if I fell asleep or passed out. Since then my speech has been slightly slurred and I had both numbness and pains in my left side with swelling in the upper arm and armpit for two weeks after. I'm getting nowhere with my GP, who thinks there is nothing wrong with me. I am now terrified of having the third jab. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have seen programmes on TV about people who have had this kind of adverse reaction and are suing the government here in the UK. I have decided not to have the Hep B vaccination for this reason. There is evidence out there about the damage this jab can do but I am afraid I don't have the sources. If you are not in a high risk group then why risk the third jab? If you are, then I guess you should complete the series.

If I were you, with your history, I would be extremely cautious about getting the third shot.  Ask your doctor to do titers to see if you already have enough immunity from the two shots you already received.

Unless you are in a very high risk group for contracting hepB, I  don't see the urgency for having the last shot in your case.

I dont know of any doctor in his RIGHT MIND that would make you take a 3rd shot, much less take the risk of anything further happening to you from it!!  the fact that the second episode happened ten days later makes it less likely to be related to the hep B vaccine.  However, the GP thinking there is nothing wrong with you, sounds like you two are not connecting and I would look for another doctor.  If YOU think the vaccine caused the episodes, this is the number to call to report it: 1-800-822-7967  or go to their website www.vaers.org
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) has a nice article about the Hep B vaccine at  http://www.cdc.gov/nip/publications/VIS/vis-hep-b.pdf

It says reactions are rare and usually not serious.  If you are allergic to bread yeast you shouldnt take it/the vaccine.  It says if you think you had a reaction you, your doctor or nurse should fill out a form and report it!

I agree you should get tested to see if you have antibodies to it.  You and your health care provider should discuss the risks and needs for you to even consider taking the final shot.
Good luck to you.  Having the symptoms you describe shouldnt be ignored.   OHC

i am qualifying in beauty and body therapy and am currently learning electrolysis hair removal. this involves inserting needles into the hair foilicles and killing them off with a short wave or galvanic current. i have been advised by my homeopathic dr not to have the hep b vaccine, and to have it by my tutor so am confused about what to do.

I had a couple of headaches, which I never get so I know it was from the 1st jab.  I also had a couple of days afterwards when I was exhausted more than usual or normal for me.  I'm scheduled for my 2nd jab on the 25th of this month.  Did your sx's happen right after the shot?  If you are talking with slurred speech and your GP doesn't believe you, change doctors.  later
