Thanks Jasmine .. I figured since it was such a small amount that it wouldn't make a difference. I have some medical training, and it was less that what i would have pushed out of a syringe trying to get an air bubble out. I've got 46 more tries to get it right :)
I think almost everyone has a scare with dosing once during tx. Be careful not to do it again and you will probably still be ok.
Flguy is right, an extra .1 did not make much difference. Neither would a little on the leg likely ruin tx. One mistake is likely ok.
I had a similar problem last night .. but opposite .. I use the proclick autoinjector, and didn't hold the button down long enough causing just a tiny tiny bit of medication to end up on my leg rather than in my leg ... has anyone else run into this? Is it something I should worry about?
Make sure you are drinking all of the recommended water. Especially the 24 hours before shot night. Being hydrated made a big difference in how I felt.
Did your doc say you could take Tylenol or something similar? Some people also found taking this prior to taking the shot also helped.
Hang in there. It's tough but it's temporary and the pay off is big.
for me as tx weeks moved on the interferon was different ...at 16 weeks i had all kinds of problems but keep up on the same dose...looking back i probably should have reduced the dose....as far as tremors and sickness/fever my first dose was the worse.......and as said don't miss any doses..the incivek is very important to take on time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.5 vs .4 is not that much more and not much of a mistake. You would have felt the same with .4 . Peg is tough stuff and treament is not always a walk in the park. Keep up with meds on schedule and don't miss riba doses.
