As with anything, I'd think it would very much depend upon the level of liver damage you already have, so probably best to ask your doctor first, particularly with any medication containing tylenol. I have been fortunate to have started tx with no liver damage so I wasn't restricted really on too many of my meds. That said, I had to quit taking lortab because the tylenol portion of it was tearing my stomach up. I was put on different pain meds.
I have some xanax 1mg that I can use if I can't sleep, although lately I've been taking a bit more prescription pain medication so I rarely have problems getting to sleep anymore and I don't take it much. But in essence, I always think its good to ask your doctor about meds because there are so many variables particular to each person and to their tx, pre-existing issues, allergies, drug interactions, and a myriad of other things.
this is fine to take. even with liver damage you can take this, of course like anything else in moderation. i believe docs say you can take up to 2000 mg of tylenol per day for pain even if you have some liver damage, that would equal 4 tabs per day.
i thought the same but a sly unsure cause i take tylenol every fri and tues when i take my neupogen shot and inferon one.. then advil other then that.. iam stage 2 and grade 2.. 1a..I dont take it every day.. Iam only allowed one tylenol per 4 hrs
just was wondering on the pm part..Have a great day..
no medication problems or allergies.. yeah iam allergic to hepC LOL..gotta get these dam critters outta here..have a Blessed evening..
If you are concerned about the amount of acetaminophen you're consuming, take a benadryl instead. 25 mg diphenhydramine is exactly the same thing as the 'PM' in Tylenol PM.
hey that sounds better.. iam gonna do that..Brain fog made me forget that..LOLThanks a bunch
I'm not a treatment trooper yet but I have always had problems sleeping.
Every night before I go to bed I stretch my major leg and back muscles. Only speaking for myself, but if done correctly it releases enough seratonin to help me sleep all night.
Sometimes I write a letter to myself and then read it back. That works well too.
I don't think anyone mentioned hydration, muscles get more sore if cellular digestive byproducts are not removed and water is the essential to that process.
the tylenol is somewhat questionable, depending on your liver,
the benydry, which is the other part of the PM only has about a four hour period of effectiveness, so whether you take Ty/PM or plain benydry you may still be waking up midnight, and have trouble returning to sleep.
this is why many have been switched to Ambien CR (controlled release) as it has less addictive issues than do pain killers/xanax/ativan/tamazopam etc. type products.
It helps me to take the ambien about an hour and a half before wanting to sleep...some take shorter or longer....with the Riba, you may need something stronger occasional, just be sure to not MIX any of your meds without doc/pharmacist/ approval. Two sleeping pills can act like 4 or 6, depending on what they each are.
also, eliminating all caffiene or other sources of water pills not essential to your health will reduce muscle pain. The Riba has spped like qualities that tax and strip the system of minerals, as does the liver function itself play a huge part in muscle fatique.
you also need a diet adequate in calcium to not have muscle cramps.
I also eat seaweed (kelp capsules) for trace minerals, as trace minerals essential to health.
If need be, try deep heat via a moisture/hotpad as hot showers and soaks are OUT for Riba treaters.
Also, I have a machine that does deep rolling massage for the worst muscle balls in my back and calves (from a spinal injury). these are about 100 bucks at Brookstone but worth it if you aren't married to a massage person.
hope you sleep well.
