no - I have a lot of cosmetic stuff going on with my eyes - they are still yellow in the upper lids, large patches of dried skin lower lids and lashes that could be used as my cats leash LOL

Oh I am a pretty one these days - I should post my before and after photo in here so people can actually see what Intereron can do to your looks LOL No - if I did that 4C would never treat hehehehe

How's life in normal ville

What a nice blast from the past. I sometimes think about Beth and wonder how she is doing.
Gosh, remember when we could post hot links like in Bon's post. I wish we still could do that.

I have yellow/orange patches on and above my eylids. I have been diagnosed with high cholesterol. You should visit your doctor for a fasting cholesterol test to determine your LHD and HDL levels.

Yea... I agree.. they ARE worth the trouble!!!

My animals have brought me more joy than any human being... & my Grandmother always marry a man that is kind to animals.... she said the way a man treats his animals is a direct reflection of how he will treat his wife... if he is cruel to animals he'll be cruel to you...LoL... & I discovered many years ago the hard way that this is TRUE!

Oh & that toxoplasmosis is exactly what the cat contracted last year... (from eating wild rodents) he got over it... but he's never been quite the same since... he's kind of grouchy & less tolerant these days, & rarley chases the dog anymore.

Anyway, I adore these ferrets & certainly wouldn't get rid of them over that Here's a pic of Boo,,, the newest one... he's the apple of my eye, & a sweetheart..

Newest ferret

I bet my doc screwed up on which test since he was so flusted with the lab... sounds like I might be getting another one.... we'll see what comes back next week & go from there!

LoL... It's a ZOO around here.... the cats chase the dog, the ferrets chase the cats....( & have pretty much run the cats out of the house completely) The cats can't keep up with all those ferrets... & the dog chases anything that moves... In fact.. the dog LUVES the ferrets... Schnauzers were breed to chase weasils... LoL... so it all is just histerical to watch....

Boo like to jump out of the rice box & nip the dog on the nose & hide... or the play tug o war over beanie babies...

Unfortunately... our silliness got me into trouble yesterday.... I broke my HUGE mirrored door (I have sliding glass mirrored doors on my closet... & they had to be specialty made about 8 years ago, (because of an odd size)... I hope I can replace the one side for half price.... good think I am not superstitious... cause that was a biggie! Boy is Rob Ever Gonna Be Mad... I'm always screwing sumptin up... Dang It!

Quantative..... Doc said the labs have screwed up about 10 folks test lately & running hep B test instead of C... & elaborated, highlighted Quantative....

I should know this... but I forget.... What's the difference between Quantative, & Qualative... ???

They also are doing a TSH (without my requesting it) boy it sure makes a difference having a doc that automatically does this stuff!

The Downside, is that I can See Why The Lab keeps screwing up... all new folks.... took em 4 pokes & 3 blown out viens.. With the way I am bruising lately... this ought to be real pretty by morning....& here my knee was just starting to turn yellow, instead of purple....Dang it....

BTW... Ivette... did you know that ferrets can carry salmonella in their mouths??? Doc said they are great pets, but can carry lot's of diseases, & carry a health risk to those of us treating... told me to make sure I don't get bit.... Haa, Haa.... a little late... I didn't bother to tell him that the nippy one "Missy" wouldn't turn loose of my lower lip before I went up north... she hasn't bitten again.. I think she was just scared that first day... I remember freaking out last year when my cat got sick.... wish he hadn't of told me that!

qualitative tells you if the virus is still there or not, pos or neg. If the quant is undetected, you still could have very low vl present. the qual, a sensitive one, can detect its presence or absence.

As for ferrets, any animal can carry diseases, cats with toxoplasmosis(I think) and God knows what else and dogs with whatever, so do parrots. Just keep them and their cage clean and feed them fresh, good quality food, and clean scratches and such well. They are worth the trouble.

LoL... the counter was over 500 earlier.... Tee Hee... & I haven't made it back down there yet.. (About to head out the door for my blood draw, & Pick up my meds for tonight) Gez... only 60 left to go... Ha!

I get my 3 month PCR today... so guess I'll know something by next week. However since I started out this round with a much lower VL... I fully expect to hear those wonderful words "Undetectable"... I'd be greatly disappointed this time if I Didn't...

Yea, it caught up with me.... I knew it eventually would.... I have just far outdone myself...but I am actually quite tickled, as I figured I didn't do half bad for that first 3 months.... Even with the few little setbacks... I'd still say this round is much better.

Well gotta head out.... I'll try & get back in here after I return & do catch up!

Those counts are funny... I Luv It!

Can't wait to see where they are by the time I get down there.... & to think the first 200 post slipped by me... I didn't even join in the fun until after it hit that.... Tee Hee!

Thank you for your input...

Chevygal, it is good to know that someone else has had this problem...I was going crazy trying to figure out what it is and couldn't seem to get much info other than the worse cases, like cirrhosis and PBC, that scared the he-- out of me but my good sense told me that wasn't the case, seeing I had no other symptoms of the dreaded "C" ....

I do drink quite a bit of juice and green tea and no, no other parts of my body have any yellow or orange color (oh I take that back, my hand is yellow and orange now but that's from where a inexperienced health care worker couldn't find a vein...ouch! lol)...also, am on synthroid for hypothroidism so maybe that attributes to it....

It's so nice to know that people in here care enough to help others......Thank you very much.....

Yellow eyelids seem uncommon on their own, especially if the rest of the body, and whites of the eyes are of normal colour.

Acute and immediate liver problems usually show yellowing of the whites of eyes and skin, with fever, exhaustion and/or a variety of other symptoms. However, I would advise to call your doc.

If your eyelids are the only place on your body that are yellow (and check in good light), then it is unlikely that you are immediately ill. However, if yellowing occurs in the whites of your eyes, and you feel very tired and dont want to eat, then it is very wise to seek urgent medical attention.

My father showed all symptoms of liver disease - jaundice, exhaustion, fever over an 8 week period. The fever, jaundice has gone, but exhaustion and loss of appetite remain. Full on jaundice requires urgent med attention, but solitary yellow eyelids suggests prompt action to see your GP and get a few blood tests. Dont eat shellfish or drink alchohol until your doc says you can.

Im not a doctor, but someone who has a massive interest in HEP. Thats all. I compare my response to other posts, and i know im not giving worse advice. So all you critics out there, post your moans elsewhere, and respect the threads sincerity.

Peace

"Yellowing of eyelids - v eggie dip: 06/25/2005"
I know you must be concerned about this, but you probably are not going to get responses much different than when you originally posted this question on the 25th. When people read a question and they have no knowledge of what the answer might be, they usually don't post anything, no matter how many times the same question is asked. You need to wait until you see your dr and make sure he or she answers you clearly or refers you to someone who can help.
Stop "dissecting" your body and reading too much into anything you consider odd, it will drive you crazy with worry. But do ask your dr to give you his input.
