6 month PCR

Hi everyone.  It's been a while since I've posted.  We got my husband's 6-month post PCR results today...all clear!  His doctor said "contrats, you've cleared the virus".  Yes!!!   We are very relieved.  He is feeling great post-tx.  The only new thing that's developed is lactose intolerance.  Not sure if it's related to treatment or not.  It started about a month and a half after he treated.  It's very manageable, he just has to take Lactaid before eating any dairy.  Works like a charm!

One question I do have is about spider nevi.  He had a few on his chest and neck before treatment.  Most of them seemed to fade or go away completely.  He's had a couple of new ones pop up since he finished.  Anything to be concerned about?  His liver biopsy last year was Stage 2-3, Grade 4.

Thanks guys and for all of you still treating, HANG IN THERE!!!  The dragon can be slayed.  =)

Congrats to you and your husband.  I will be having my biopsy on the 5th of Oct.  A bit scared to do treatment.  Afraid of side effects.  But dr. says my being female with a low viral load 490,000 is a plus despite being 1b.  So if all goes well I will begin treatment in a few months.

Every day I am reading success stories which helps me be optomistic about tx.  Like Koala the lactose thing is a small price, besides I think as we get older our body changes and thing effect us differently.

I'm too new here to comment on the spider nevi.  I wish you well.

I guess lactose intolerance is a small price to pay for becoming SRV. Congratulations!
