Just tried to get into one of the links I posted and noticed that www should be typed in before the links provided by me...

jmjm, thanks for the info on the abstracts -- I cannot wait to dive in and start reading!  Probably tomorrow though...

PegM -- am jealous also!  :-)

I'm so impressed by the amount of research on the liver and on HCV and treatment too -- and sooo thankful that there are people who've chosen to do this important work as a career...

Yes I looked at that too, (very late) and didn't see where they linked up.  Just kept coming across a slew of news articles, one about Vertex's teleprivir, and SP's Bocep, and Roche saying again that Pegasys rules, and loosely made the connection as one of the articles specifically mentioned the SF conference going on now.  I figured they were announcing these results there, but what do I know?  Nada much at that hour. :-)

How can you read these abstracts?  I could not find the link to be able to load the PDF format of them.  I tried the links above, but I never could see anything but just the face of the brochure, which doesn't really tell me what I want to be able to read about, you know?

New press releases are popping up now from out of SF.  Trial data from Roche and Schering Plough.

I know what you mean.  I've followed the info that's come out of those conferences for years.  This year I volunteered to staff an American Liver Foundation table there Sunday and Monday, although it's not close or energy-easy, just because it's so interesting.  I'd just like to see and maybe hear some of the researchers and physicians doing this work.  It might not appeal to everyone, but I'm willing to pay for it with a few exhausted days after.

My hepatologist is in San Francisco right now, I wish I could have slipped into her pocket.
