Yup. I ached. My Dr seemed to think it had something to do with pain referred from my pelvic bones because the pelvis contains a huge amount of bone marrow (which produces blood cells)...I'm still not too sure what to think of that, but the heat from my electric blanket and sitting in a warm bath was quite soothing...I would have killed for a hot tub...Or a little old lady's oxygen bottle when the anemia reduced me to gasping for air! Hang in there! Oh, if you haven't, talk to your Dr about taking folic acid (mine put me on 8oo mg/day) and vitamin B complex. It helped with the muscle aches and stabilized my anemia..(My HGB was 26 and HCT was 9.0 -No rescue drugs..) (((HUGZ))))~Melinda

I really don't have an answer for you. My doc was pre-emptive with Aranesp to hold the effects of anemia at bay.

But, what I'm curious about is how your long-distance relationship is going and if treatment is getting in the way of further road trips for you.
