Not sure exactly how I got here on this old post, but - It reminds me of a song done in the movie, "New York Doll". It is done by David Johansen (alias Buster Poindexter) formerly of the New York Dolls. I found it online here. It is kind of touching.

I loved it! I love the woman singing it with him too. She seems so calm next to his frenetic energy....

One of my favorite songs. I have it by Elvis on my tunes playlist :)
Never been a big fan of Aerosmith hasn´t listen to them that much to be honest, maybe i thought he looked a little to much as Mick Jagger for me,never liked copys.
BTW I dont like Mick Jagger him self that much except for the early stuff that I like a lot.
You know the really early stuff ( maybe you dont you to young LOL) Time is one my side Mothers little helper them goodies.
But this was awesome, I think have to throw my old preconseptions in the lake and start to listen in this guy his got the spirit for sure.
And I have heard 100s of versions of amazing grace and this was one of the best maybe the best I ever heard.
Didn´t know the story behind the song, thx for sharing that too.
A Swedish preast that lived in the early nineteenth- century once said.
"Unforgiven sin is loved and cherished sin, but forgiven sin is hated and unwelcome sin.
And if this guy the kapten slavetrader has experinced forgivenes I can surely understand that such a guy will know the meaning of the word grace "amazing grace".

your very welcome!
It's wonderful to see a fellow hepper with such star power humble himself and give the Glory to God by singing that song in a church.
The life of the man who wrote that song is incredible. He was a captain of a slave ship...his cargo was chained black slaves....
He had a moment of Grace...and turned away from this business and gave his life to the Lord. Great testimony.
It is one of my all time favorite hymns. Glad u enjoyed.
Peace
Yvonne
