Another SVR!

OMG, I can hardly believe its true! I do believe I should be tethered to the ground for a while to make sure I don't float all the way up to the stratosphere in my bliss. After 30 years of HCV and a total of about 2.5 years spent in tx (over three tries) I've finally achieved SVR. All my dear friends on thus forum deserve a huge amount of thanks for the support that kept me going – I wish I could give each and every one of you a big hug, but I'm sending virtual hugs anyway.

Re: biopsy, I am thinking I would like to have another biopsy at some point in the future, because yes, I am very much hoping for some degree of reversal of the cirrhosis. My hepatologist doesn't rule out some reversal but doesn't encourage me to put much hope into it either. He also doesn't sound like he will be much inclined to do any more biopsies in the future, but I'll wait until I some time has passed and until I feel some improvement before I start to worry about twisting his arm on that. Many things could change by then.

For now I'm just so happy that all my struggles have finally succeeded in slaying that dragon!

You are another one of those generous, crazy generous people on this site and I am so happy for you. I'm at 5 months post treatment and still having sluggish days too. I think you will slowly gain improved health as time goes on.
A big cheers,
C
