Fantastic news!!! Wow, three tries and you finally got it. Made my day. Hope you've recovered well and you continue to have good health. Congrats.
Congratulations! Great news!
Thanks to all of you! I'm recovered from all the sx and feeling fairly good. I wish I could say I feel fabulous, but my body isn't really cooperating with me on that one. The problems that the treatment caused have faded away, and I have a whole lot more hope going on than I did before tx, but I do still have fatigue (probably the cirrhosis) and joint pains. Maybe at the one year point I'll feel great! I'll let you all know, as I do plan to stick around.
Very Very glad t see this. Also extremely glad to read that you have recovered from all side effects or the medication. I was a pretty rough go there at the end. I hope you are getting to travel and enjoy those things you could not while treating.
Do you have any plans for a biopsy sometime in the future? They tell us clearing the virus will not make the cirrhosis go away, just delay the progression some, but still we all hope for a reversal. I understand that joint pain, especially in the morning. I don't know what is but I do know that for me, I still have not become as physically active as I was before tx. As for the fatique, it seems to come with age too so it is hard to pull out what might be cirrhosis related.
So glad you are SVR

I am so very happy for you! It was a long tough tx. I think it takes a while to get to where were before tx. It will get better, it just takes time.
I am so thrilled, I am getting my dancing shoes out for the occasion!
Bless you!
This is serious. Cartwheel serious. So happy for one generous, kind and vital presence on this board that you are. Your voice in this special chorus came through clear to my heart so many times lady, this choir needed you as much as you needed us. Thank you and a very hardy congratulations and relief for your loving ones. elizabeth
Congratulations!!!
Glad you kept on trying despite previous disappointments.
In time you will feel better and HCV will just be a blip on your journey through life.
Having cirrhosis it isn't uncommon to have fatigue. With cirrhosis you should continue to monitor your liver's status as could be take a number of years to partially reverse itself. Although the chance of developing HCC are lower now due to SVR, you should continue to be monitored for the next number of years with ultrasound and AFP surveillance.
Congrats!

I very seldom come over to the "social" site and I should more often if the posts over here are always as awesome as yours!! What a tremendous accomplishment and not without arduous determination in the face of so much adversity! You did it, you stayed the course and killed the beast!
A big and loud CONGRATULATIONS to you!!
Congratulations! Wish you years of health and happiness!
You are another one of those generous, crazy generous people on this site and I am so happy for you. I'm at 5 months post treatment and still having sluggish days too. I think you will slowly gain improved health as time goes on.
A big cheers,
