prescription purgatory update

Just walked in the door with my month's supply of peg/riba/neup and 3-months mail order supply on the way.

Riba-rage has its pluses!

That's how I got an over-ride to the (Caremark) rule that I have to get meds from them, now.  But that would have meant I wouldn't have peg for this week's shot and after FINALLY reaching UND, I wasn't gonna let THAT happen!  

SO when they (the Caremark) reps told me 'not to worry about it' I COMPLETELY lost it and went into several long voicemail rants to supervisors and admission coordinators and customer care specialists and pharmacy reps pointing out this WASN'T just a bottle of aspirin I needed; how would THEY feel if they thought not being on the meds could cause a RELAPSE, and on-and-on until they got tired of arguing with me.  

Yay!  One small victory!  But it's taken its toll - I'm wiped out.  I'm really not the greasy-wheel type.

That was using riba in a good way to get what you need. Congratulations, that's wonderful. I'm not suprised you are wiped out. Patients need a patient advocate. I'm sure these things will be easier for the new patients coming behind us. The systems HAS to improve.

One time i went to pick up my meds on a friday night for my shot and the pharmacy told me they didn't have them they didn't come in (this was my first experience and I learned to order in advance)...but anyway I thank God for the overemotionality (if there is a word) of the riba rage too cause I cried and went nutso just like you did...and lo and behold - they found a months supply in their little fridge for me.

I don't know if they relabeled someone elses - or they keep a stash on hand or WHAT but I left with the meds..........

Going "Nutso"  (a perfect description for what I did) is Sooooo exhausting.!

I hope I'm not giving the impression I feel sorry for myself!

I post stuff here coz you guys all understand the significance of being without meds.

Plus, I have to admit the idea of being deprived of the meds after reaching UND flipped me out.

And I wanna share and get feedback.

Sometimes we don't always know how we're perceived in print and I don't want to sound like a whiner (unless i Am whining) so if I do I hope you'll pull my coat.

hey, remember the other time we had a grand meeting of the minds?

Isn't it WONDERFUL to be able to communicate and even if something isn't phrased exactly perfectly the two parties go to such amazing lengths to clarify???
