Several of the antidepressants cause weight gain. Remeron is famous for making patients famished with hunger and sleepy at night. 1 pill at night lasts 24 hrs. I don't remember which class of drugs the Remeron is, or if it shows up on a drugscreen. I would doubt that it would.
I live in Las Vegas, NV (a right to work state) they can do anything they want!!! They canceled my insurance RETROACTIVELY and then it was too late for COBRA. It aint right...but life comes at you - we all go through things on treatment. Thanks.

How did they take away your insurance?...can they do that?
Dear MM:
Thank you for the information - I am currently in the 10th month of treatment. Out of the question to tell my supervisers, they're trying to get rid of me anyway. They've already taken away my health insurance and laid off everybody underneath me so....I'm obviously going to have to explore other options. Again, thank you for your input and the HUGS!!!
Dear Annie - thanks for your reply - I'm in the US but I don't really want to smoke...dronabinol is a synthetic form that a friend who is co-infected recommended. I think I'll have to explore other avenues.
Hello!
Just wondering...are you in the middle of Hep c treatment? Of so, loss of weight and appetite is common but, if you haven't, get your thyroid levels checked. You may have become hyperthyroid from thyroiditis (the treatment sometimes attacks the thyroid too).
As far as the dronabinol goes, since it is a prescription, and the THC factors may show, carry a note from your doctor explaining you are undergoing chemotherapy (or just interferon treatment which IS a form of chemotherapy) and it is medically necessary. If you think it may be a problem, contact your supervisor, explain you are undergoing chemo for your liver (sounds horrible, doesn't it?) and tell them your Dr is suggesting this medication but you are concerned about testing positive. If the response is favorable, GET IT IN WRITING, so if your management changes, you have your "green light" proof and you cannot be fired. You don't have to tell them anything more.
Just so you know, THC is a "gift that keeps on giving". After smoking one marijuana joint (of which the anti nausea/ increased appetite increase effect only lasts for a few hours, whereas the droabinol lasts for 12+ hours) the THC soaks into your fat cells, and you can test + for a month from that single episode. I hope this helps...(((((((((((((((HUGZ)))))))))))))~MM
I've never heard of dronabinol. Is it some form of medical mary jane? As far as THC showing up in a drug test, I've heard to assume 30 days because it gets in your fat cells. Probably wouldn't take as long for an occasional user, but I'm not really sure. Good luck, it probably would help with your appetite. Where do you live? 13 states have medical marijuana if you are in the US.
