Bucket list, One down!

Hi all!
In 2008 I treated successfully and have been SVR for almost 3 years now. While I went through treatment, I made a "bucket list" of things I wanted to do before I died -one of those was to complete my college education that I'd put off for 25 years. Well, -I did it! Tonight I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration! I have many more things I am looking forward to in my life -one of the many reasons I went through treatment -and life is good! I hope this gives all who are going through treatment right now a peek at what is at the end of the tunnel and remember that every journey begins with a single step. (((((((((((((((HUGZ)))))))))))~MM

You were often an inspiration to me while I was on tx. Now you are again. That is so great!!! I have decided to go back to being a cosmetologist even though it doesn't pay nearly as much as the job I had when I started tx. Life is just too short to stay in a job that doesn't bring you joy. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what? That is something to really be proud of! It is hard work and you stuck with it and seen it through. Great career to be in and great job future! I had to drop out of Medical Office Management classes after 13 months due to hep c and fibromyalgia complications. I kick myself in the butt so much, even while still having chronic pain. I just hope I can go back after treating for the hep c. Back to you, Good job and be proud of yourself, that is quite an acomplishment! Good luck to you!

I had 144 credits total. I was able to do most of it on-line in accelerated classes (12 week classes concentrated into 5 weeks). It was intense and time comsuming but I graduated with a 3.8 GPA! (The advanced algebra classes nearly did me in though! -LOL) Here's the insane thing -my ultimate goal is to form and run a specialty care facility. I'm still working on acquiring more "marketable" job skills (believe it or not, the paramedic skills alone aren't that marketable!) and possibly finishing my registered Nurse degree. Watch out world! -I'm Baaack! :) ~MM
