Well, today I bought a Multi-Green Organic Raw Kombucha tea, which comes with chorella, blue-green algae, spirulina, and folic acid in it.
I didn't drink it all at once, I spread it out, thru-out the day, as it does have a tiny amount of alcohol due to it's probiotic ferment....I'm feelin good : )
When I was really anemic during tx I did try some chlorophy sp? supplements, they were tablet, not sure if they worked I was so sick I did not keep up.
Ha, I do that all the time with my doctor too. Oh well, maybe next time.
My GI is OK with Cal-Mag-Zinc, Vitamin D (D3), the Omega-3 and the B complex with Folic Acid but that is about it.
I will do that. As little as my Dr. is involved in my treatment, I have to say ha has been fantastic about my supplements, even the obscure ones. He allowed me to continue my B complex, omega-3, flax seed, and Bee pollen, and allowed me to start taking vitamin E, D, and sam-E. Have to be honest here, due to brainfog I just talked to his np like 20 minutes ago about something else, and totally forgot to mention the chlorophyll to her. I will write myself a note so I remember when she calls tomorrow about my labs I had done today. If I can remember to write myself a note. ROFL.
I read a little about chlorophyll and anemia since you posted this and was unable to piece together how this would work. I think it is so cool your doctor is willing to research things like this and get back to you. My doc pretty much told me to stay away from supplements other than common ones like Omega Fatty Acids, Vitamin D and the like while I am treating.
I hope you post what he says if or when he researches this and gets back to you. It just sound interesting.
The only thing I can tell you is my doc was fine with my taking pro-biotics and acidopholus.
Interferon can cause digestive issues.
Personally I eat a lot of papaya :)
