Esophageal Varices Banding

I'm having my  5th endoscopy banding in the morning. We'll find out if the dose of Nadolol is enough. I'm 9 mos post treatment and SVR!
I'll admit to being nervous. My bleed-out experience scarred me for life. You all supported me since diagnosis. Just a thanks, touching base, and asking for prayers n peaceful thoughts.

Hi Weepy Karen,
Good to hear your procedure went well and you received good news.  I think your weepiness could easily be a reaction to anesthesia or flashbacks of your bleed out.  It could also be the stress leading up to this most recent banding.  You've been through a lot with a difficult Hep C treatment with Cirrhosis, bleeding varices, hospitalization, and bandings.  It's OK to be a little emo today!  Hang in there!  Try to rest and relax.

Hay, thanks for prayers and thoughts. Gosh I'm emo today. IDK if it's anesthesia or flashbacks from my bleedout. Good Good news tho. I'm at level 2 on the grading system for varices AND they only had to band 2. That means 60 mg. of Nadolol is working. I'm so relieved.
All of you with advanced cirrhosis please take care of portal hypertension with RX and get your endos. Banding can prevent a major bleed.
Keep the faith baby and we're all gonna share in the gravy. Who said that? I think it's the drugs talking...
