Waking up with the fat right hand has stopped, I still swell so I've been taking my diuretic. The fat right hand thing that happened was really strange, I had my second HBV shot on the 25th, it's really strange but a couple days after that in a row I woke up with the fat hand syndrome. lol Anyways it stopped, so I gotta think something was stuck. lol I hope you find something that helps yours, my ex-wife has the same problem. God Bless
I was having that problem since about 3 years ago. Took herbal diuretics and arnica, capsules & cream for the pain....it didn't help. It was worse when I was cleaning my horse stalls. Even still 6 months post my fingers still swell & I have no idea why

Woke up this morning and my hand is back to normal, normal for me anyways still a fat hand. lol Anyways, I hope to get a call from the clinical trial ppl soon as the suspense is killing me. I'll keep ya' all posted as you never know when I will need some help. I was told that my folder is sitting on the coordinator's desk, I'm trying to get in the Boceprevir trial. I finally got a referral so I can get a good Heptologist of my choice, that's just in case the trial is a no show for some reason. Better days are ahead=== for all I hope. God Bless
I've noticed my hands have been swelling lately as well, especially first thing in the morning upon waking. It hurts to flex them because of the excess fluid in them. It seems to get better during the day but they never return to their pre tx slenderness. It's very odd and I had put it down to the excess water I've been drinking. Other than that I have no clue but would be most interested to see what others have to say. Btw, I haven't noticed that one hand is visually bigger than the other but one hand certainly hurts more than the other.
Just wanted to say sorry you're experiencing this. I have no idea. Maybe it could be because you are blocking the blood flow to that hand while you're sleeping and since you are already prone to those swellings, that you get it on that hand. Just thinking out loud..
God bless,
Marcia
