Finished 48 weeks tx!

Woo hoo!  Took my last ribas today and wore my red shoes to celebrate :)  Actually, some of my friends at work wore red shoes too, and one of them made us red velvet cupcakes.  Then they took me out for steak dinner.  Also, my man bought me flowers, chocolate, and a card.  I ended on a great note, to say the least.

Now comes the long wait to see if that little bit of medicine I was on was enough to kill all those little suckers in my BIG self.  Oh, and I posted pictures of what is left of my hair and how to style it to help hide the problem.  I hope it doesn't scare anyone away from doing tx =S

THANKS EVERYONE FOR HELPING ME HANG IN THERE UNTIL THE END!!!!!!!

Way to go - what a relief to finally be done. Feels great, huh?

I'm sorry to be late to your party but now that I'm here, I'm doing a happy dance for you and longing for one of those red velvet cupcakes. Yum...and the steak dinner sounds like just the thing for me tonight, as long as I can get hubby to make it on the grill.

That was stupendous and really special that so many in the office wore their red shoes in honor of your finishing treatment. It sure makes for a kind of hard-to-put-into words excitement, dem red shoes. :)

I hope you keep posting about how things are going. It can be an anxious stretch of time, waiting, waiting ,waiting, waiting, waiting, after working so hard at this thing.

Have you decided when you'll take your PCR's and did you (or are you going to very soon, like Monday) take an EOT PCR?

Warmest wishes, best regards and TTYL,

Susan

Thanks y'all!

Yes, I will go get EOT bloodwork, including a PCR, on Monday.  The GI I treated with normally only does 6 month and 1 year post PCR's, but I talked him into ordering a 3 month one for me as well :)

Very cool tennie runners in the pic you posted :o)! I'm so happy for you; balloons over the Crescent City, gal!

I completely agree with Trin-- and if you look carefully to the left, my picture is a great example of what to expect of your hair... hehehe, just teasing!

Good luck-- I bet you start feeling remarkably better over the next 10-14 days. Talk with you soon--

Congrats!!  Wishing you SVR Jelise.  Don't worry, your hair will grow back just fine.  I'm one year post tx and my hair has fully grown back.  After about 3 months, it began to get thicker and by six months it looked so much better.  Hang in there, be kind to yourself as you recuperate.
