cured

Cured, I haven’t posted in a long time.  I guess, I just felt really bad after my last post and stopped writing.  This forum was really helpful.  I did 6 months with boceprevir and the 1 month lead in.  I was the first person at my hospital to be cured.  Such a relief.

I was expecting it to be agonizing but the side effects didn’t really hit me that heard.  Sure, I felt somewhat under the weather but I didn’t really realize it until I stopped treatment.

I started feeling a lot better as soon as I was off the meds.  I’m about to go in for my 6 month post tx blood draw tomorrow.  I’m a little worried (especially because I slipped up and drank a few times).  But I was virus free at 3 months and my doctors never detected a change in my liver enzymes due to the alcohol.

I feel like a new man.  Better than I’ve felt in years.  I hope the rest of you are as lucky as I’ve been.  And I hope my luck continues.

Thanks for everything.

Hi Kirk..
Good to see you again. I wouldn't worry too much about your 26  EOT PCR as the 12 week one you had is >99% predictive of SVR.

Best to you and good luck....,

Will

Yaayy!!  So glad to hear you made it through tx.  Continued best wishes for you.  I think we all discover the actual weight of this journey, after we are done with the meds.  Stay strong!  And be kind to yourself.
Blessings,
Bee

It is good to hear from you again. I am so glad treatment went well and that you feel so much better.

Being Undetectable at 3 months post EOT (if I read your post correctly) is an excellent sign that you will SVR (99%, I believe).

Congratulations on finishing treatment. Let us know your 6 months post EOT results.

Best of luck to you.

You went through much on your own and I am sorry for it. I am glad you cleared the virus and I wish you SVR on your upcoming labs as well as forever.

I am sorry you stayed away for so long. You have considerable experience and insight to offer to everyone but especially for those of us still treating. I hope you hang around and post and I am glad you are back.

Congrats on feeling so much better.
We are all human and make mistakes, ideally we also learn from them. No need to beat yourself up over it.
Good luck with the lab work.
