not too sure where Maplewood is - Skiing is within an hour or so in all directions of Toronto, I think...I haven't skied in years...Well if you come for a visit maybe we can meet up for lunch or a coffee..I am going home for 3 weeks in December for Xmas to NC, but will be back the end of the 1st week in January..That would be kewl to meet you :) Toronto has some real nice touristy things to do...What brought your brother to Toronto?
Maplewood I think? I was even thinking of visiting him in the winter, cause he's got skiing not too far away from him? maybe you would know more about it then I, it's been a long time since I was there, beautiful country....
wow really - your bro lives here kewl beans :) I am an hour North of Toronto
I wish the Canadian people happy birthday as well!....my brother and his family lives in a burb outside of Toronto...
I forgot to add another thing to be thankful for - The Canadian Dollar is top dog now!!!! It is 1.03 to the USD YIPPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no I don't go home for Thanksgiving - I always go home for Xmas instead...But I am on the phone for hours on the American Thanksgiving day talking to my family hehe
Thank God for the North American phone plans :)
I ate Stuffed Cabbage rolls for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday - Bob and I planned to go out for dinner to a nice buffet at the Casino - But his bosses Mom passed away and he had to go to the viewing - It was at 2:00 in the afternoon and it was 3 1/2 hours North of here...He didn't get home till almost 7:00 so I cooked in the afternoon...But, it was a nice dinner - had fresh asparagus and made scalloped taters...Passed on the dessert though...I was just thankful we both enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal together..This is the 1st time since I have been in Canada that I got to have Thanksgiving dinner with him - He usually goes hunting for the week but didn't go this year because I am sick...I am thankful each and every day for my Bob :)

you better hope nobody at 'home' reads your posts or you will never get another homemade meal!....LOL

Albany
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all as well....not thankful for HCV but thankful for the grace, strength and support that helps me deal with it.
And on that note...thankful for this forum and the courageous and supportive people in it. Keep on keepin' on, eh? :) (nice one, FlGuy :)
I'd take the leftovers. Pie is over-rated, especially if it's homemade (in this home anyway)
yeah but #2 ya just get leftovers:turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, mashed potatoes....No pies at all!
So, do you celebrate two thanksgivings? Eh?
