Most of the sides disappear once the body gets use to the drug. Sometimes it takes a week or two. You can either wait it out, ask your dr for a sleep aid, or talk with your dr. about other options.
Good luck,

I'm on the same AD have been since Jan.... i took mine at night and never had any problems sleeping, other than the couple nights after my shot. I too started at half dose and i never did end up taking full dose because i lost so much weight from tx. I think it takes a couple weeks before your body gets use to the meds. I know it has helped me a lot. Best of luck, Anita
Thanks Ladybug, guess I need time to settle into the new meds. I do have a bottle of Lunesta here somewhere, but don't really like it, np prescribed it for me when I began tx and had trouble sleeping, but those sx's eased with time also. Saw a daffodil today popping up next to a patch of snow, the little things do count and life goes on, even while on tx....;^)
Thanks for the support Anita, means a lot to me, especially knowing the battles you yourself are fighting..stiff upper lip and good luck with your tests.

I know, I hate taking stuff to sleep because they either don't do the job or they overkill. I quit taking ambien, long ago because even breaking it in pieces, it was too strong. Now I'm having sleep at night issues again and my dr. prescribed Rozerem. It's suppose to be safe, non-narcotic, and acts by stimulating the melatonin recepters in the brain. It works ok but you can't have a high fat content meal before taking it. We went out for catfish last night and like an idiot I took it and was awake and nauseous all night.
Daffodill's? How nice. We are slowly approaching full summer here. I went to New Hampshire about 10 yrs ago in June and packed shorts and only one pair of jeans. We nearly froze! Dodging the mosquitoes was the only thing that kept us warm.

I too started a/d's on wednesday...and am now on 6th week of tx. I feel I it would have been better if I had began this before tx..oh well. I am taking 10mg. of a generic form of Paxil. I definatedly feel more energy...thank God! I like your handle..proactive. That's just where I am at today. Your sleep is imperative...do what you have to to get it.
