Thank you Marcia.Girl happy to hear your feeling better.I kept thinking she said, she spends most days in bed.Oh No ! The worse you feel the more the meds are working maybe , huh ?That's just a thought that popped into my head just now.Like antibiotics seem to work when you sleep. Thanks again and hope you continue feeling a little better everyday.

comeagain, I had a blood test to see if the RA is caused from HCV or If  I have just developed it on my own.My rheumatologist said, if the test she took came up positive, yes it is caused from the HCV.Mine came up negative so she can't tell.Treatment and SVR will tell I guess, now.I am ready for the roller coaster ride. When I get OFF the Dxxx thing I will be beat up and probably bruised for life but this disease will DIE ! I won't !I'm just worried about working but I'll take that as it comes.I want to be FREE like All the SVR's we've heard about lately.Glad to hear you don't have alot of damage. It could have easily been the other way around for you and I and anyone else.So next Wed. I've been told today my requisition for meds will be ready. Then I will Get In Hang On and Shut Up for 48 weeks.Cause I'll put up the Best fight of my life.I Will Win !
If my daughter can WIN Amateur Kickboxing  Womens World Champion Title
I Can Win This HCV Battle For Her ! Thank you !

Correct, I was diagnosed with HCV induced Arthritis. Nothing came up on any of all the blood tests they did for RA, OA, gout, AI etc...

Actually, after ca 8 weeks of tx my pains are almost gone. And definitely no more stiffness in the joints.

So you now can afford the ticket to the roller-coaster.
I dont know what kind of ra you´ve got but there seems to be a certain kind that comes from HCV Marcias doc told her that. Correct me if I´m wrong M !!

I also have mild liver damage if I can trust my bx result, doc said I could since the sample was so big 3.5 cm. grade 1 stage 0

Anyway my firm believe is that HCV gives a lot more sx then first thought of and an explanation for that can be the slow development of the disease.
As for example after my first tx my digestivesystem worked perfect for the first time in decades but I hadn´t realised it wasnt working as it should until it started to, let me tell you what a differens that made.

I can give more examples of pain and stiffnes that i now know is HCV related.

Happy for you !!! Welcome aboard the tx train to heaven, some of us most pass hell though on our journey.

Hey Meki your right about the education. That's what our letter was about.Education.The hands the letter fell into really took charge. She even sent me a letter to let me know my letter was coming. They really don't have a clue.I also told them,(insurance member appeal dept),that after transplant you still have to be treated for HCV.I will also send a Thank You letter and will inform them further.I have had three top notch Drs. tell me , The sooner you treat the better the outcome. Thanks for all your encouragement.

Mikkimoe glad to hear you are doing a little better. What a ride you have been on.I went to my rheumy on Wed. and she said, Enberel will be the next step.It isn' t hard on the liver.I have to call my hep Dr. this morning and tell them I was approved yesterday.I take it I will be starting Soon.Rhuemy also put me on Ambien when needed. That drug scares me.Continued good luck to you.I do read your journal.I will read it again this weekend.

All,Thank you !

Congrates - when do you start?

I recall you have RA so maybe review my journal if you can. What are you taking for it?

I'm here if you need me....I'm finally getting better - think the Rituxan is starting to work on the flare from hell.  But I'm still clear and would not of done anything different. Some with pre-existing conditions (RA, diabetes etc.) have a pretty rough go of it - but then others don't....at least the journey will begin...keep us posted.

OH my gosh -- someone needs to inform that insurance company --- TRANSPLANTS ARE NOT THE ANSWER...

Curing is the answer...

They'd rather spend more money on the transplant --- or hope you die first?

WOW...

SOmeone needs to contact that company and find out who wrote the policy - and TRULY educate them.

Congrats!!!!!!!

Now good luck - OK?

It's gonna be a rough ride - but if I can make it through the ride --- YOU CAN TOO!

I wasn't following if you said something about it before so on what basis were they denying it before?
