suffering, courage, survival

excerpt from man's search for meaning, victor frankl..
one mans experience of the holocaust. very existential his philosophy of what enables someone to survive such a horrific experience. for some reason my mind equates with this experience. (i spend too much time alone in my existential thoughts)

he writes..
when a man accepts that it is his destiny to suffer, he will have to accept his suffering as his task; his single and unique task. He will have to acknowledge that even in suffering he is unique and alone in the universe. No one can relieve him of his suffering or suffer in his place. His unique opportunity is in how he bears his burden." p.86

concerning the horrors of the experience "it was necessary to face the full amount of suffering, trying to keep moments of weakness and furative tears to a minimum. But there was no need to be ashamed of tears, for tears bore witness that a man had the greatest of courage, the courage to suffer." p86

what helps one survive through the suffering?

Just don't have the words to say about Nick and your suffering. What about the other drugs? I was looking stuff up online, look at ChrisDDD post from me, on the other side.
