LETS GET GOING
TO ALL:
I am sure most of you know that July 28 is World Hepatitis Day...............Sad to report after extensive research, that in most City's and Towns across the US, (I am not saying all), there are NO Rally's, Marches, or Gatherings planned recognizing World Hepatitis Day!
I live in the Tampa Bay area, and I am in the process of trying to organize at least a rally in my community. We are at the same juncture that HIV/Aids was in the early 90's. New/old disease that is just starting to surface publicly for the 1st time.
All should know that 1 in 12 in the World are infected with some type of Chronic Viral Hepatitis.
We need to band together, and if you are able and/or willing, to start making calls, writing letters, and applying pressure to your Congress Men/Women, Senators, District Reps, Mayors, TV and Radio Stations and whoever else will listen.
This site and Forum for Hep-C is wonderful and the support, advice, and solace is immeasurable, but, we need to Stand up and be HEARD outside of this Forum/Site!
We have a member, mdudley who is taking this cause to the next level. Please follow this link to her interview with a local TV station in San Antonio. She is also the author of the petition for Gillead/Bristol Myers Squib.

This my fellow Heppers......is a start. I applaud mdudley and appreciate all of her efforts, and I am following in her foot steps. Please join us in continuing this fight and lets get that "Awareness" and the "CURE"
