Upper Endoscophy's are sometimes part of a normal screening/pre-treatment process with Hepatitis C. They are probably looking for Varices (distended veins prone to bleeding) that are sometimes assocated with advanced liver disease.
Assuming you're not stage 4 and have no other symptons of advanced liver disease such as Ascites, low plateletes, etc -- then I wouldn't be overly concerned and just assume your doctor is doing this as part of a normal screening.
Of course, always best to ask the doctor directly why they feel a procedure is necessary and in this case why they think you in particular might have a bleeding problem during treatment. It may turn out they doing an endoscophy on all their Hep C patients or your doctor may have another answer. Easy enough to find out.
As to the MRI finding and the "C" word.
What appears to be a similar question was asked to a registered nurse on one of MH's professionally monitored forums.
The nurse didn't think it woud be cause for concern (this fellow was a non-smoker) and did not recommend a biopsy although was not opposed to it.
Again, it's easy to panic when reading these scan reports as every finding can sometimes seem terrifying, especially to a layman. I know they often seemed that way to me until my doctor explained what "this and that" really meant.
So again, best to sit down with your doctor and ask about the micronodule and its implications. Sounds like it will turn out to be nothing to be concerned about, and I assume if it was, you would have been told. In any event, if your doctor's explanattions don't satisfy you, then you always have the option of taking the scan to a specialist in lung issues.
Anyway, here's a link to the Q&A I mentioned earlier:
