Nursing and UND viral load

If I wanted to go back to school and get a degree in Nursing, would anyone hire me?? My history: Treated in 06-07. Was caught early, and treated successfully. Do I disclose this information to academic advisor?

don't disclose because you've got nothing to disclose since you've got no virus in ya!

I went to nursing school and have had Hep C for 35 years. You do not have to disclose, but if you do they cannot disclose the information nor can they hold you back because of it. I now work for the school that I went to. It would be the same thing if you had AIDS - they cannot stop you from going to school or working.  You will just have to follow simple precautions that you SHOULD do as a nurse anyway. GOOD LUCK!!

I would not disclose.  If it is not in your blood, you are not contagious, not a danger to your patients.  Get the occasional PCR for your own peace of mind if you like but you are not a risk.

There is a good friend of ours who is in nursing school right now. She completed treatment a few years after you did and was successful and she has no problem at all.

I'll see if I can get ahold of her and she can talk to you directly since she's the one with all the correct answers!
