I know this has been discussed but what is the general concesus. Which is better? Do they all have a pillow top cover? Thanks

Lal. no smell and a great night's sleep, until the darn roosters start crowing. Got someone looking for homes for the buggers. I hatchen 11 chicks this spring and wouldn'tcha know the prettiest one is a rooster...............that makes 6
just make sure you don't get the memory foam ones, they smell bad bc manufacturers put anti-flammable materials in it.
I think a leather mattress would be kinda hot.

Deb, I have a real problem with PETA and HSUS. The money does not go to help the animals, at least not much. Then we have the vegans. If those bgroups have their way there won't be any animals, and what do we do with the animals that are here? They have a hidden agenda and it is a long story.
The thing that always cracks me up is pro-Peta pro-animal people coming at you for eating meat or having a bit of fur on something or a long leather jacket and you look at go wow nice belt and cool shoes are they leather or what?

Roosters yes I remember them from my childhood very well. Although it's been years now I remember the stinky chicken coop smell too. I guess you wouldn't think of NYgirl living on a farm but back in the days before all the land out here was worth a mil a foot - it sure was.
The only rooster I have now is my son who usually tries to come in about 6am...yeah you can just sneak right up those stairs dude just like I used to get away with it on my mom and dad ;)

My daughter (step) used to just put the mattress and box springs on the floor / no frame & with nice bedding (bed in a bag + extra pillows.) it actually looked pretty good.

closeoutlinens.com I find some really good stuff on there and you know I'm the brokest broke of the brokes. Not 800 count stuff of course but heck it's nice if you don't have money and need new sheets! Although they could have them on there I just probably never looked!

Denise, check Bed Bath & Beyond for good deals on the high thread count sheets. If you don't care too much about color you can usually find a sale on the 600 count sheets, which are really smooth and silky. I've gotten queen sets in the $40-50 range during their sales!
Thanks Deb, we have been crying , moaning about our mattress for about 13 years. They replaced it once a long time ago. We are not rich by any means but had a substancial windfall and a "Good" bed was one of the things we both agreed on. It is coming today, I even got to get new bedding cause we went up a size, from queen to king. The damn bedding is expensive!!! and he wants 800 thread count sheets..........NOT. I refuse to spend that much on sheets, I'm cheap and he is the spender LOL.

Finally after years of sleeping on a bed that kept falling down every time I moved (so I had to just lay without moving) I got myself a cheapo at Bob's Discount Furniture but it was really pretty.
Biggest bestest treat in the universe just to be able to plop on my bed and go to sleep and roll around.................and sleep and roll over and sleep............instead of going oh no PLEASE platform don't crumble and then having my son have to come in and dig me out of the bed so I don't kill myself.
YOU ARE GONNA BE SO HAPPY NO MATTER WHICH KIND YOU GOT.............IT'S GONNA BE LIKE HEAVEN AND BELIEVE ME I'M SOOOOOOOOO POOR I KNOW HEAVEN WHEN i FIND IT! :)
(i don't have a tempurpedic bed but I do have the memory foam pillow......thought it would be totally awesome but in truth I like my little smushy pillow even more - it's more fun to punch and smush and get into just the right shape).
And it doesn't turn into a rock no matter how high I turn on the AC!

Rocker, I honestly researched all that. It was the most comfortable and expensive bed in the store. The one I picked was a quarter of the price, I just knew I should have never let hubby lay on that king size wonderful bed.
