no doubt...they look a bit small though.
I would also be impressed if she could catch them to put them back outside
LOL!!
I was thinking I'd be really impressed it she could get them to pluck themselves and hop in the oven........
There is a joke or witty one liner in here somewhere. Or better yet, A CAPTION.
In Texas there is a hokey one liner for hot summer days:
It was so hot outside, the chicken refused to come out of the oven (ba dump bump).
The opposite ought to work for cold weather. :)
Yes, but can you say that now after having been thru tx?? I don't necessarily want to eat the things I have raised....but could possibly bite a few heads off here in week 21, lol!!!
Great picture, Gator. Thanks for sharing,
My sister had a t-shirt that said "I eat my pets"...I always thought she was so cruel...I could never kill something I raised then eat it...her youngest son was in 4H he would raise all kinds of things to show at the fair..then they would eat them...
Your sister and I are kindred spirits...I had a pet pig as a child. It started out as a runt and grew into a huge white hog. I wasn't very creative with names so I just called it "Whitey". Sometimes Whitey would get carried away and start chasing me around the pen enclosure and I'd have to jump into the feed bin to avoid injury...lol. It was a sad day for me when my Mom and Dad sold it to a butcher. Needless to say, I refused to eat any pork for a very long time after that.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)
Sister lives in TN on a small farm and it is very cold there right now...the chickens are banty chickens and she has a bunch of them...this is the first year that she has had the doggie door...I guess they are smart little things...
meakea...sister had a pet turkey once...his name was pookie...he was very sweet great pet...lived in her back yard till something jumped the fence an ate him.
sister also had a pet cow...she found it as a new born...it's mother died giving birth and she had to be nursed to health...sister named her Bambi...there is a pic in my photos...Bambi used to follow my sister around the ranch like a puppy.
Oh...this is so cool and cute! It brings back my childhood memory of when I had a pet chicken...yes, a pet chicken. It was a banty chicken (small breed) and it was a perfect pet and would fly to me and sit on my shoulder while I hunted grasshoppers for it. Sounds crazy but it was a real cool pet for me at that time in my life (about age 10). It, of course, did not get to come in the house, but if it had snuck in as your sister's did, it would probably pick the same spot to warm up.
lol.Tell her to check her pressure cooker lid and what's inside the basket.lol.
Tammy
That is so funny, maybe they wanted to bring her fresh eggs, lol.
Real chickens? That is so crazy! What a great thing to get a picture of!! They are some kind of small breed, yes?
