I have always been a big exercise fanatic,(okay, Narcissist, lol) but after I got muscle aches, from my first 2 Interferon shots, I stopped riding my bike, in fear of developing muscle cramps in my legs.
After the sx of the Inf shot went away, I developed hemolytic anemia, around my 7th week of Tx, and felt too clumsy and dizzy (breathless and lead legs) to ride my bike. But thru-out Tx I did take my dog on two 20 minute walks per day, and did continue to go out of the house everyday. I would shop, have coffee with friends, etc. And at home, of course, the house-work never ends. (Yeah, I work 2 jobs also, but make my own hours)
The good news is: after 5 weeks of riba-reduction, and no longer feeling anemic, I got back on my bike last week, and guess what? I havent lost hardly any of my endurance! My lungs feel strong, and after a few bike rides, my inner thighs are looking toned again :)
My advice would be to take these little walks, when you are feeling crappy
during Tx. It helps, when it is time to get back into shape again. It is also healthy for our bodies, to circulate, etc...
