My doc told me to avoid caffeine while on tx. I have been doing that anyway for 10 years...no caffeinated beverages. I enjoy my coffee too, but do decaf or 50/50 split when I feel a treat! I have seen folks post that they continue exercising all the way through tx. Others...not so lucky..too fatigued. That is my case. In the beginning (up to wk 15) I was able to continue my exercise regime then I crashed. I am now at wk 36. Pretty lethargic at times, but yard work picks me up. I also do a Procrit shot 1x/wk. It takes me 2 hours in the morning to "get going"..shower, breakfast, etc. then (maybe) off to work. It's an individual thing, but keep a positive attitude!

I could drink coffee, but I chose to drink gallons of water instead.
I couldnt exercise cos I didnt have the energy to do it, but I would recommend that you at least go for a walk whenever you can, because after treatment the weight that you have lost comes back as fat and flab.
There are people that have been able to keep exercising and working.

Wow....I thought I was doing OK .....you are truly doing a great job!  My good friend at work is doing Zumba and loves it....maybe I will give it a whirl!

Good luck to you, me and to all of us!  Let us try to not let this get in our way.  The old corny but true Positive Mental Attitude really works and the exercise goes hand in hand with that.

Have a great weekend!

Thank you for your reply, that helps me try to go into this with a positive attitude. I run now about 3x week (It was 6) and I take pilates 2xwk, Zumba 1xwk and Caribbean dance 1xwk. I love to  dance and stay in shape so I hope to maintain some of that during TX. I have hypothyroidism so I need to keep my metabolism up. If I don't ex. I put on lbs quickly.
Also I love my morning coffee.

I have only been on Tx for a couple of weeks (2 shots/Thursdays) and 1000 Riba a day.  So far I have still been able to do 30" on my elliptical 3 days a week and 2 days of weight training.  I have not noticed any lack of stamina YET.  I also have been very lucky with no side effects YET.  I do stress YET!!!!  This morning I worked out and had my 2nd shot last night.

This was already part of my life routine and I am going to try to keep going as long as a can.  I may have to modify regime of course, but I am h*ll bent on trying to maintain as much of my normal routine as possible.  The Dr. agrees with me and I hopefully have the sense to know when I need to curb things.

Coffee is still also a part of my life, even though I know there is controversy over the caffeine.  My doc said OK in moderation (2 cups a day OK).

Hope this helps....but as EVERYONE SAYS....EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!
