Hey Deb, I'm right there with you on all you said.  That is one of the reasons I am so outspoken about having it and getting treatment - I want everyone to know.  We were in a local restaurant where we used to lunch daily back in our working years, so know the whole staff well.  One of the asked me, in delicate terms how my tx was going and how I felt.  I answered frankly and mentioned the meds, etc.  As a couple was leaving, the lady came over and asked if she could ask some questions.  We talked briefly then she said she had just been diagnosed ansd had not yet seen the hepa (had the appt set).  When they finally left, she gave me a hug and thanked me for sharing, that she felt much more comfortable about what she as facing!  If you ever want a rush!

If your find info, PM to share, so I can help too.

I do talk to our Council reps, and others in a position to spread info, or get publicity focused on the issue, but just informally, as I cross paths at meetings, etc.  I believe AWorriedMom is involved with such a group, but do not know its scope, and if it is local to her area or not.  Deb, don't worry about putting meto sleep!  (If it does, I can use the nap. lol).  And, yes, I, too, am passionate about this!  I expect most of us on the Forum are.

back to humor and uplifting things:  the link below is to a youtube site my husband found.  It is a video (needs the sound).  It starts out depressingly, but just bear with it.  I think it goes to the heart of what we have all been discussing about humor, and uplifting things, in this case, using music.  Hope you enjoy it.  Oops!  didn't copy and past.  I'll try again in the morning when my mind is fresher.

Cheers, and keep smiling.  Pat

As I was reading your post-
"Praying that all goes well, but, If not, I will take a page out of the books of the giants who have preceded us ( a number who are still here, counselling, caring, helping!) and treat again!"
You and I have the same plans Pat.....I only hope I have been even a bit helpful as I was helped so much.
I am currently doing some research on how you become an advocate for HEP C what it entails, paperwork, organization affiliations, etc tip of the iceberg stuff right now, like contacting my governors, congressmen and the give you a suggested script you use. Really interesting stuff. For example my nephews friends aunt has hep and had NO IDEA there was a cure, was clueless. I mean they show limited commercials on TV about Hep but we need way more exposure there are still too many out here that don't have a clue Pat, this has to change limited airtime on TV is just simply not enough and Im going to change that. Not sure how but I'm committed to this, this is why I have my second chance in life. Cuz I am pretty outspoken when need be and a personality that if I believe in something so much I will see it thru. I've never felt so driven about an issue as I have this one. It's because of you people on the forum we need another voice out there. By no means am I saying I can do the best job in the world but mine is heart driven...crap ok here we go again....poor Pat, who needs the nite time sleep meds after reading this right?!
Ok then, take care and Peace&Good Karma Pat

Hey, Deb:  First, I understand about the brain fog thing - I truly believe I have had a few days lately, when I felt like I could think way more clearly--don't know if I am deluding myself or if the FB is truly getting better!  I Hope!!

I am feeling better from week to week, 4 weeks Post EOT - 8 more to go til Wk12EOT Labs.  Praying that all goes well, but, If not, I will take a page out of the books of the giants who have preceded us ( a number who are still here, counselling, caring, helping!) and treat again!

As for the Quote a day.  What a wonderful idea!  I know, newbie, or expereinced, that sort of thing either gives me a smile, a laugh, or up-lifts me!

I really do not think anyone would consider that you are overstepping.  This is, after all the Social Forum, set up so we can (continue) to communicate, cheer each other on, commiserate together.....you know.

I say, go for it.  Blame me, if anyone fusses, but I don't think anyone will!

Peace and SVR in 2015!

Pat

Yeppers!   But as the brain fog has been so true to form with me I have miscalculated so........its Jan 14th now just a wk off...duh for me
Thanks for asking. How are you my friend.
I wanted to ask your input on something. What would you think if I did an encouraging kind of quote on Hep social everyday just cause it seems we have been getting some newbies here and I know we all need an encouraging word or something maybe just to look at everyday even if they don't feel like socializing at the moment. Let me know I don't want to overstep anything.......
Peace

Deb:

I love it!  Been true for so many things in my life -- and, simple as it is stated, it works!

Aren't you getting close to EOT?
