Week 48 and SVR

I took my last shot this morning and I'm still SVR. Now I've got the 6 month waiting period to deal with. To all of you on TX all I can say is hang in there it will be over before you know it. My tx was fairly smooth I did not have many side effects after week 10. I am glad it is almost over and I don't have to deal with it any more. The worst thing for me all the way through is the itching. I think I rubbed all the paint off of all the corners or the walls in my home.

Does any one know if there are withdrawals from the TX?

Thanks
TeeTom

Congratulations on getting all the way through treatment!  I'm glad the side effects were minimal for you.  Hurray on an enduring UND and here's hoping for that SVR for you!

Thanks guys for your encouragement. As always the members are the driving force of this website.

This morning I took my last dose of rib. I asked my nurse about relapse and she told me that no one that she has ever known that cleared within 10 weeks have relapsed. That was good news.

Congratulations on that last shot. What a relief, huh?? My hemoglobin rebounded pretty quickly and my energy level did too. Are you waiting for the 6 month PCR or doing any at 1 month or 12 weeks? Whatever your course, good luck in rebounding and AND SVR.

Hey Tee no there should be no withdrawls & you should get over the interferon in like two weeks, the riba stays longer.

Technically at this point you are what is called UND.  SVR will be achieved once you have your six month test and it too comes back negative. That is the hard part for most, the waiting.

I wish you the best and a real SVR to boot! :)
