Side effects

What % of txt people have minor side effects?

I know that people that need support and have problems with txt seek help.  Those that don't have problems don't seek help.  Has there been any studies that indicate the likelyhood that someone will or will not have bad side effects?

That would be nice to know going before starting, wouldn't it?

you have to remember that the group of us in here are either strangly obsessive (ie: like me, coming on the forum before I started to learn everything I could) or b. have severe problems and come seeking some help.

So while we aren't a really great group to poll the truth is as Rocker said - while I've never heard of anybody who was just perfectly fine on treatment (although a few have said they felt great you have to wonder if they've been getting enough meds into their system because that is not normal) most people find treatment as I term it "doable".  Some days will be worse than others though. Some specific times during treatment are harder than others.

A lot of it is up to you and how you decide to approach it. I've seen people with extremely MINOR side effects complain how drastic they are, whine, stay in bed, stop working etc. - and people who shouldn't even be up and walking still going to work and managing their lives.  Some people have AMAZED me at their strength and determination!

Personally, I had decided that no matter what came my way this was only a temporary thing and I would deal with it because being cured would be forever.  It helps when you realize that this day too shall pass - eventually treatment will end.

Good luck!

Thanks for the responses.  Somehow I thought that is the responses I would get.  I was just hoping there was some kind of study that is communicted when discussing treatments.  Guess not.

Thanks

It is different for everyone.  What is incapacitating to one, may not be to another.  People with almost identical side effects can react totally different.  Everyone experiences side effects to a certain degree. Some suffer more than others, but it's based also on each person's coping threshold both physically and psycologically.

everyone is different, there is no set  pain or uncomfortable level,   first two times i was pretty much ok, they were slight, different drug this time, so different reaction.  you will hear a lot of stories, my advice is take none of it for gospel, till you actually get them.

As I said for me they weren't so bad.   Kind of like having a baby ever birth is different.
