Hi all and a late Happy Halloween from LL, AKA the Halloween Queen :) Oct. was absorbed in work and my eccentric hobby of Halloween deco/party. I'll post some pics soon.

Hope all are well. I see few post tho and seems pretty slow here. Saw something about a lot getting deleted?

Oh my God Laurie - I had forgotten all about that..........ha we were going to come down and teach them a thing or two about manners and no way about it that they could have withstood the power of a DEB!  Talk about being some totally bad*ss Twisted Sisters they would have gone running down the block for their LIVES! Yes, there have been some changes here.  It is especially noticable when you read some of the older threads.  Different tone.  But as with all things, there is a cycle, so I am hopeful that this place will soon return to the safe haven it has been in the past. Nothing can take away from the depth of friendships we have all been able to form here.  Amazing when you think about it, really.  We are all so fortunate to have MH.

I SO remember your thread about taking your dogs medication.  Oh, yeah--really funny for me to read as a newbie.  Until I hit about week 9 I couldn't understand.  Now a-days I am lucky I remember to do my shots, LOL!  No matter how I try to idiot-proof this, there is always doubt, LOL!!!

You are absolutely crowned the Queen of the BADSS---bad as$ dragon slayin sisters.  I just hope we can all make it through tx with the spirit and heart (and success, lol!) you have shown.

I will keep your sister and your family in my prayers.  Give that pretty little granddaughter a hello from the "other" izzy.  

Maybe we can plan another FL lunch after the holidays.......:-)

Please, I do not want this to get deleted or get into any upset. I haven't been around enough to know the details and personally......no drama! Drama is bad! This place has lost a lot since I came here near 2 years ago. My hope is to bring some of that back. I have held my words many times in politcial threads, other threads to keep the peace. It is just not worth taking down the spirit of this site. We will ALL never agree on ALL, but if there is any problems, please take it to personal PM's. If they are deleting and supervsing more now, there has to be reasons for it. We've lost some awesome people here thru personal opinions, and some stayed that should have gone, some got thrown off, etc. That was rare a year ago.

Back later and Jd.......AWESOME! My sis isn't good, will get that PM to you soon. I LOVE hearing you will be on the survivor wall! MAKES MY DAY!

yeah what they all said lol!   Me I am just in my own world lately, sx, and trying to take a note from your page, even though I am not done, living life instead drowning in it. That i refuse to do lately.  
There have been a lot of disappearing posts lately,   Charm is finishing up, just kind sxing still,  the forum for her is not a place of support any more, She loves a lot of people on here dearly, and communicates off the board. Alot of us do that now. find our support and stick with them.  
Lol I knew you were having a ball crazy woman! I just love you! I miss your sense of fun.  I do miss you! But so glad your happy.

Most of the very most senior members don't post all that much except when they are really needed - then you see them pop in.  For the most part I think the old timers try to leave the easy stuff for the new members so that they can become more involved and share their knowledge.

As far as deletions - I think if this were any one of our forum and we were responsible for what was being put on the internet maybe we'd have a different eye. I don't know but maybe what sometimes to us looks like friendly sarcastic banter might appear to an outsider to be really not so amusing at all.

In all the years I've been here I haven't seen that many threads really deleted = mostly posts over the threads themselves. I guess in this day and age we just have to be a little more careful of what we say as representative of the general group.

I don't honestly find it to usually be that much of a hardship - now that i am OFF riba, it's a lot easier to do. But, not always of course ;) I got a big mouth and it ain't always so easy to keep it shut.

We are still here but these days we have lost a thread or two and those who remark it are cautioned not to do so.  Its a bit more supervised than in the past - not so much a place for open discussion as it used to be.

Good to see you posting - hope you are well.  Let me know how your sister is doing - all ok here and my cancer surgeon says on my next visit he's going to put me up on his "survivor wall"!!!

I`m sure that nazipeople had some great moments together and that  the people in the church of china that was controlled by the ateist goverment also had their fine moments in their cermonies.

But in such cases I´m rockhard in not compromising.

I really think there some course for real conserne here.
Theres been other threads recently  who has talked about nearly related subjects, such as what is determening or who is deciding what shall be deleted and what shall not.

I don´t think we really got any answers to that one, more then there is guidlines that could be widely interpreted.
And those lines in the sand that has been crossed, could be to give the devil a little finger and we all knew wats gonna happen then.

I´m so greatful for this forum up to this point always will be, it has given me so much but no way I´m gonna roll on, along side with something that is going against the most fundamental rights that I believe in.

I know I am extrem but thats me and it has helped me a lot to say enough is enough and not get involved to long or to much like most of the german people did during world war 2.

I personally have not been here much because Jim directed us (via the other forum) to the latest breaking studies presented over the weekend (and still ongoing) at the possibly most important liver conference of the year.  I think a lot of people from the forum may be absorbed in reading them. I found one abstract so thought provocative that it shook me up quite a bit, not necessarily for the good. So that's where I've been.

The reason I'm on the forum just now is because I took my shot last night and feel too 'day after' to read another study. Still, I hope to read some more as soon as I can.

And of course, the election can trump the forum for many people, including myself, as has the unprecedented economic turmoil.

And to CA - who knows how fond I am of him - sorry to hear you were deleted. You're such a real sweetheart, so I can only imagine you must have said something, well,  sexually suggestive?! :)

Anyway, I feel it's a privilege for me to have access to this forum and if the powers that be decide that a line in the sand has been crossed, I tend to not get into a flap about it and just roll on. After all, the forum is one of my strongest sources of support and in fact, the main reason I've been able to be so psychologically positive about treatment.

I'm not the type to look a gift horse in the mouth.

If I wasn't so wall struck, I would write a long post now... but I really don't have the strength at the moment. Several things have upset me lately, incl. what ca is talking about. Then there are also the personal attacks, or sneaky remarks, which I cannot stand. If ppl disagree with something one says, they do not need to hint at ppl that they are ignorant, stupid or naive... When things like that happen so often, I personally don't feel like being as involved as I used to be. Discussions are about discussing matters and should not be personal.

I have at several times felt that I wanted to leave the forum, but then I thought about all the wonderful ppl I have met , the friends I've made and would feel selfish to just leave and close the door, as we do need each others support.

Even though I don't agree with everything and everyone here... I wish everyone well... and pray that all can beat this dragon, even though it may seem impossible for some at the moment!

Glad you brought it up it really is bit slow at the moment could be some are having it tuff with sx and jm and other oldtimers come in periods.

But it could be something in my opinion very seriously also, I love you Americans in many ways, you speak your mind openly and have sence of livefullness i think we in our country need more of, and that spirit of freedom has been for me lots of the salt in this forum.

Theres been some odd deletes lately, I my self got deleted because of joking about Dr Ds whereabout he hasn´t answered any questions in over a 1.5 months, maybe I was a bit out of line, nobody said anything though and setted me straight.
I just got my comments withdrawn without any explanation.

So in my opinion there is either informers (members)  that are repeatedly reporting
comments because they dont aprove with the persons point of veiw or even the persons them selfs that had posted.
So very unamerican exept for maybe during the senator McCartney era.
And there could be some atoumatically withdrawal if reported three times or more.

Or MH have hired some former KGB officer to moderate the forum in any case I got a scary feeling this site is in geopardy of killing it self because of changing the salt into escharotic.
