I wish Willie would come to Kodiak...
Or anyone who could entertain --- that would be awesome!
Ah but --- Willie --- now that would be PRICELESS...
While I may have never been a fan of Willie’s singing, there is no denying that he is one of the greatest song writers EVER. He is very well respected in the music community and always seemed very genuine and true to causes that he believes in. Great guy.
Interesting thought……wouldn’t it be something if Naomi Judd showed up to help? I’m pretty sure she still lives in the area. I won’t hold my breath.
And yes, Meki, I have always heard that his weed was top shelf. Lol. I got to hear Willie and Toby Keith do that song at a New Years Eve concert in Nashville about 3 or 4 years ago……too funny.
Willie Nelson is one of the World's GREATEST writers...
You wouldn't believe some of the things he's written --- from Patsy Cline's famous songs --- to even more... He's a LEGEND...
And well - he's never gotten what he's deserved through life --- but he's always performed.
I'm very glad he's supporting this cause.

I LOVE Willie! Saw him 2 years ago. Always loved Willie, even when I hated country, was a rock-n-roll only girl. Always told my man (whoever I was dating at the time, lol!) That I'd leave him for Willie! Even at 80, I'd still go with Willie!
Strange one I am,lol. Matthew Mcconaughey to Richard Gere (no gerbal stories please!) to Willie!!
But seriously!! Thats great, he does tend to get a lot of news coverage, and get's on a roll when he's supporting something, sticks with him. I'd love to go. Not far from me, a days drive.
Meki.....I'll never do a shot of Jack with Willie again :)
(or anybody I guess,lol)

I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie again....
But I might sing praises of this fantastic gig!
Rock on Willie!

Great post! This is what Willie is all about, always has been. I wish more performers were as generous with their time and presence. later
That is awesome. Thank you for posting that. Now that's some high profile positive attention.
"The event is a fundraiser for the Spears Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Leiper’s Fork resident Julia Spears. The foundation is devoted to detection, education and advocacy for those affected by the blood-borne virus Hepatitis C."
Thanks for the positive story.
Nice to see an artist of Willie's caliber lending a helping hand to us HCV folks!
