Lady is right, overrated. I think the drink did more harm to my Liver than the hepc. What a way to learn a lesson. For me as usual, the hard way. I stopped drinking before tx and I don't miss it a bit. Will I drink again. Probably, but not for the buzz. Life is a buzz in itself.
I took wife out for her bday Friday to Olive Garden. Took the girls too, had a blast. Wife had a drink, daughter forgot her id, ha ha, learn that lesson and I had peach tea. We had a riot! on the way out I was gonna grab a mint at the front desk and didn't have my glasses on. I did a quick stop and said oh look, who wants a mint, I grabbed a double wrapped pack of crayola crayons. OMG I am so glad I didn't eat it. family was roaring.
Guess what, no alcohol. Good clean REAL fun. Drive home without looking out for cops. Boy does that ever feel good. Screw drinking.
Drinking is over rated it ruins so many lifes. My brother leads a group in AA for over 25 years now! San Francisco I told him how proud of him I am especially doing this treatement I take it day by day now I can see the strength he has shown himself and others all these years! Remember one day at time and to those who can't respect you dont want to drink tell them it's simple it's because "Your Worth It"
No beer for almost 7 months & will continue NOT to drink, if I ever do again, until after SVR....Whenever that be......period
Keep up the good work. It gets easier turning alcohol down as time goes by, my boyfriend has been clean and sober for 3 years now so have faith because it will get easier on you :).
God Bless!
