can-do-man couldn't this time

Hello all, not around here much anymore so most people might not remember me. And most people who do try to forget me. :) Just found out that i relapsed. Disappointed sure, shocked no. As i'm sure not alone in the relapse class. knew the odds was very much against me. Time to figure out plan B now.

Hope the gals around here have been behaving. (not really)

For all the people who is in tx. or getting ready to start don't let this discourage you as alot of people beat this thing. And soon i think we all will.

Now back to misbehaving as i have more fun that way.

Can-do who can but couldn't this time but will.

Hey there,,,What a nice surprise!!  It does get harder as years go on to check in at medhelp and I try to check in at least once a week while on computer just to see how newbies are faring and always looking for old tx friends!  I haven't talked to Vick in awhile but know she has been quite busy with the baby and her girls.  She would love to hear from you I'm sure.  I remember when my last one(the baby) went to college,,,that was the hardest!  Glad to hear you are doing good!  Same here,,,,only had cold/flu maybe once or twice in 3 years.  Take Care and try to keep in touch!

I haven't read of your loss, but sounds like it was someone extremely close.  So sorry to hear this, I will go back and read the threads.  You have always been kind and given me great advise and support.  I agree with 4c and will hang around during xmas and new years, hopefully.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Hugss and Love,
Linda

can do is not reading. I can't send e-mails, 4see mailed him, but he is not familiar with her addresse, so he may have thrown it out.
I do that all the time....don't recognize the sender, and out it goes.
Maybe you can get through to him and tell him to read at his post.

It feels so good to see so many familiar names in one thread. I do miss the old board, it felt a little more like family. Sounds crazy, but...

Child 24, pretty poison, Jim, 4c.....thank you all for sending your condolences.

The first week has been very hectic, lots of phonecalls, people coming and going, family, all on the east coast needed notifying, etc.
But little by little there are less calls, less inquiries, and a silence is blanketing the house. A silence I am not used to, but am learning to accept.
This will be a quiet X-mas and New Year. I will spend it alone and reflect on the past 25 years.

Like 4c told me, live a day at a time, if you have to an hour at a time, look no further, just think of getting through the day ahead.....and that's what I am doing.

GERD 95% better -- pretty much a non-issue -- although I was dx with Barrett's, which makes it an issue at least with my Gastro, so we shall see on that one. Psoriasis resolved quickly after treatment but was replaced with rosacea post treatment, similar to Ina's problems. Took about a year off the drugs, but I have it under control now although probably never will never be able to handle too much sun but that isn't good for you anyway, so they say.

NYGirl is SVR, Mr. Beagle relapsed, FLGuy is UND 3 weeks post treatment on his second try and is now waiting for results from his post tx week 12 PCR. But given his 3 week result and the fact he was UND at week 2 of treatment, I see that test simply as a formality.

Speaking of colds, like yourself, my immune system seemed to be in overdrive and only got one mild cold UNTIL about a month ago and then had a real doozee. Not sure if that is good or bad but I'll take it as good news that my immune system is normalizing somewhat. Who knows.

Good luck with your year 3 PCR. My two year post PCR is coming up in March I think, but not sure I'll even bother unless my enzymes go awry.

Good to see your life is moving on as well as it appears.

I posted to you above and am SO, SO glad to see you here.  I relapsed and have had a horrible year with post tx sx for life.  You are so smart and knowledgeable about this stuff, always were. I always loved your no holds barred opinions, popular or not. Gawd, am I happy to see you hear and as I have skipped months at a time posting, would love to see your posts again.  Yes, I am surprised at how many of us that still post and love it.  Thanks for checking in and hope to see you soon.

Jm, hi and happy holidays to you too!  it is comforting to see so many familiar names among so many new ones, and some familiar ones have changed a bit, I see.  i am glad my password of 4 years was still in the MH system and worked!  How are is the old issue with the skin nowadays, and the GERD? Hope it is better, much better.

to all who know me:
I kind of faded at the time the changes in MH happened and got busy with college searching, and the advent of 7 new  society finches babies, that decided to enter the world during the last holiday season.  Once I got "detoxed" from the board after a couple of weeks, I did not want to get hooked again, and there is always someone here to help the new ones out, so...it got easier to stay away than to come back.  Kind of felt guilty for forgetting about hep c and what others might be going thru, though.
My brother was dx recently, but has not called me for help, so I guess he is handling it ok.
Just got my 3 yr post tx qualitative PCR, but did not get my copies yet. I have only gotten one and a half cold in those three yrs.  Not sure why, I got sick last yr after not having colds or flu for so long, but I figured that whatever positive changes the tx brought to my immune system finally wore off.  This yr, I am back to not getting sick.  Weird.  Wish someone would check post tx immune positive  changes that might be at work with some of us.
Honey, Angie, Nygirl, willing, and all those old friends, hello and Happy Holidays.
Nygirl, is that the old girl, the one with the two genos?  What was the outcome of tx? sorry I missed it.  Update me with any others I might have missed, how is Mr Beagle? Florida man? and others?
Maybe I will try and read once a wk or so.  I am by myself, now that dtr is in college.
How is Vicky, Sally? A lot to catch up to. I know.  what ever happened to some of the controversial characters here? line Njrsl and spacecoast?

Well, whoever has time can answer, if they want.  TY
Angie, i am so pleased that you were such a good friend to our Ina, when some of us were not. She is truly special!
