Hi,
thanks so much for your help.
I send everybody I know a detailed email, including my school, work, etc. so I don't care who finds out anymore. Thinking about it now I am not even sure why I even posted this.
I emailed the site and they change my username, they were really great too! So I m cool, but thank you very much for your responds!

Hi There,
yes indeed the forum has been a great forum of support for me, and I am grateful for it.
the image I found on my laptop, have no idea where it came from, just a cool image really`-`
thanks`-`
Hey flashdude - I see you've formed a pretty good opinion of this forum already. You'll find it a great source of support - and occasional entertainment. :)
Cute little picture - did you form that yourself?? Welcome to the forum, flashDude. :)
Trish
yep you are right! If the form was not searchable I would have not found this site, and I am so thankful that I did!
Yeah I kind of like flashdude too`-`
(1) Well I just found out that this form is found though Google, I am not sure how I feel about this.
(2) I can't complain completely as finding the posts through Google is how I found this site, and I really like this form.

Hey Flashdude (great name) number 2 is a clue for number 1. :) :)
Hi,
Yes you have a good point here, so this is why I changed my name and image, and I think that the people that I would not want to know would not be searching the Internet about HCV.
For the most part I am not concerned, as most of the people I know personally I have told, and they are supportive.
I really appreciate you being here for use newbies! Yep I think that I will be smarter about my on-line presence for the future. I had to learn the same thing on twitter!
Yes, I agree that when we post information in this form, or elsewhere on the Internet it helps other people who are searching for answers. Helped me too, I found this site from using Google searching for Hep C, and I am grateful I found it, it is wonderful!
Hi, Thanks!
Yep it is a learning event for me, I guess everything is searchable that is posted on the web. Changing my username not to be my real name was a first step.
This is a good wakeup call. Nothing is private on the web! And that includes your email. although it won't come up on a google search like medhelp .
If there are aspects of your life you don't want anyone to know about, don't mention them here.
Not using your real name is a good idea.
Orphanedhawk
Most of the people I know in the world wouldn't be searching for HCV or know that my name was nygirl and if they did see nygirl they'd never assume that I was the only one in the whole entire world. Now if they read my personal history they would know by the info and pictures but I'm so over it I could care less.
I've been here for fives years and come here to help the new members like the old timers who helped me so honestly it's a complete non-concern anyway.
If it was I would use a name that had nothing to do with me and post no personal information then nobody would know. Believe me lots of members have done that.
Every bit of collective CORRECT information we put out onto the internet helps people who are desperate for answers.
BTW - googling hepc is how I found this website originally thank God.
