Any time, my child. lol
Or your temp could br from a sinus, bronchial or uti infection which may not have a lot of noticeable symptoms. Get the Dr to check them all.
I agree, Huskey voice does not sound bad in that context.
Blessings, well, soon!
Pat
Thanks Mom!
hehe - I appreciate your suggestions Pat!
I have been eating a spoonful or 2 of applesauce with the Riba. I don't remember who suggested it but it does make it so much easier to get those capsules down
The Harvoni too
but I'll try to add some fat as well. The challenge for me is that I am rarely hungry when I take my first Big dose of Riba in the morning. But I'll see if it helps
I developed a temp this weekend that I was kinda hoping was a cold. Not serious - 100 and then today 101. No cold symptoms really, though. Chills seem to be part of the drill
I reviewed all the possible side effects for Riba and a temp is one of those rare ones so I have notified my doctor. Maybe my immune system is just battling the biggest battle of my life? And maybe that makes one super susceptible to random germs and viruses?
The sides are listed here:
http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/ribavirin-oral-route/side-effects/drg-20071471
I'd take "husky voice" over "feeling sad or empty" any day
Or maybe I need the dose reduced?
We'll see what the doc says
Hey: Just wanted to remind you to eat a few nuts, a spoonful or yogurt and a bit of fruit when you take your meds! I truly believe that will help allieviate some of your symptoms. Riba even says 'Take with Food'. I am not saying you need to eat a full big meal, just enough good fat (yogurt isn't the only one - avocado, cottage cheese, cream cheese, etc. Peanut butter fulfils this need AND the protein one, too. I don't have to explain healthy eating as you already are doing that!)....as I was saying, enough good fat to bind the Riba so it processes better (as well as coaring you stomach fromthe harshness of the meds)' a little protein and some fruit or veggies for balance.
You know all this - just reminding you.We know SVR is the goal, but it is nice to do those healthy things that a) help the meds work to their optimum and b) help is to NOT experience sides, or at least, reduce their impact.
Hang in there, but keep on keeping on!
Blesings,
Pat
First week in the books and relatively minimal side effects. An occasional mild headache. Some anal burn and itch that began the morning after the first dosage and has been with me since. Very mild but worth noting.
Overall, I feel fantastic.
I posted this on Magnum's long post as well:
I am in my second week of treatment with Harvoni/Ribavirin
Sides - headaches that are pretty awful only because I never get headaches, achey joints and muscles, fatigue and yes, that blurry vision thing, stomach ache that usually doesn't last long, dizziness
I drink lots of water but am not so good about eating food. Just doesn't interest me so I have lost a bit of weight. I know, I know, I will try to eat something!
I do only eat unprocessed, vegetarian, fresh fruits and veggies so it's def not the quality but quantity here
I also wonder how much of the sides are caused by the Riba and not the Harvoni.
They are all listed as sides to Riba:
http://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-21961-1279/ribavirin-oral/ribavirintablet-oral/details/list-sideeffects
Week 3 and feeling great to this is easy no sides a tinge of a headache somedays that's it. You will be fine are you on 8,12,or 24 weeks?
Hello, I am sure others will be a long soon. The main thing I heard was that it caused head aches, make sure to drink a lot of water
You may want to post this on the HCV forum as well, it is listed down to the right under Related Forums
Good luck :)
