Post-Biopsy question

Small post bx question.  My bx was yesterday and went very well regarding being tolerable.  Today it hurts in my side when I breathe deeper.  Nothing that requires pain meds or anything close....just noticeable.  Normal?  I guess...silly as this may sound...just want to make sure I don't get any infection.  They kept mentioning to watch for that and there have been some articles in the paper lately about the rate of infection in hospitals.  Not meaning to be silly about it but wanted to ask.

The doc told me it could feel like I was punched in the gut for a couple of days and that I should just take it easy.

After all they DID slice some pieces of your liver out of you...I would imagine that is it - try not to move anything more too heavy or twist about too much.  Of course it goes without saying call your doc if it continues on for a few days.

Well, that'd be it.  Nobody said anything about resting easy for 48 hours...24 yes.  My job requires me to lift and move around heavy things.  Thx tumbleweed.

Have you been doing any stretching, lifting, etc. that might have pulled your side??  They say to be careful for at  least 48 hrs.

Of course, if it continues, then call you Dr. right away.
