I'm in Prove 3

I was screened on  April 5 for the Vertex Prove 3 trial and got the word today that I'm in.
I feel very lucky.
We're looking at a start date of April 27 if the drugs get here in time.
I'm so glad I've found a place where others have "been there/done that"!
Guess I better get all my ducks in a row as the 27th is right around the corner.

712,000 is a fairly low VL so that's good news.
Hang in there because treatment can be difficult for the family also.
Wishing you and your husband an easy time.

Thank you.I asked because, my husband is 1a and starts tx on Monday. He is starting with 712,000 VL.
Hope all goes well for you, and you clear it once and for all.

Congrats and good luck in tx.
If you don't mind me asking what was your VL prior to your first time tx?

I treated from Sept. 2005 until Dec. 2005.  Was a slow responder and did not have a 2 log drop after 12 weeks.  I'm genotype 1a.
I see Dr. Jensen at the University of Chicago.
What is your situation?

Have you treated before? I assume yes, and a geno 1?  Also, if you don't mind, the city of your trial site?

I'm on week 25 of tx#2.  G3 relapser.  24 weeks the first time, 46 this time.  Liverhead I saw was at a vx site but he did not want me to wait for a trial, they are not up to G3's yet and liver said 'get moving now'.  Hope all works out this time for you.  You've read real life stories of how quick this stuff can work, hope it does for you too.

Thanks for the well wishes!
I wasn't sure where to post this type of news..
Thanks for the heads up about possible delays in the drugs arriving.  If nothing else, this disease....and being involved in a trial....sure teach you patience!
I've been watching the Prove 1 posts for a while now and was hoping and praying I would be able to follow in your footsteps!
Can't wait to hear what they have to say at EASL tomorrow.  Hopefully it will be more good news for everyone battling this virus!

Great news!

Don't know if you've been watching the Hep forum, but there are a bunch of us Prove 1 vets who post there [and here, for that matter]. Two of us have just received 12 week post-tx UND results this wee, so let that give you more reason to celebrate.

Don't be surprised if the start date slips a little. It happened in Prove 1, but its likely that the supplies of VX950 are in better shape now that Prove 1 and Prove 2 are running.

If any of us deserve a break, its you guys who have been through SOC without responding, or worse, with a relapse after tx. Best wishes and good luck.
