Last person I spoke with that tried it said; "the only thing it did was make my farts stink".

Funny people and funny threads back in the day.

I'm sorry to hear about your dx. Must be a hard one to take. But you have come to the right place. You will receive a lot of support here. It's the best forum existing. Welcome...

I hope I myself didn't **** off or offended anyone here. I have nothing but love and respect for everyone on this forum. I may have drawn to quickly and just started shooting! I’m just glad this forum quickly exposed this crook. I could just as well have fallen for his snake oil too! I’m new to this forum and just joined less than a week ago when I found out I had level 4 liver cirrhosis.
Just a quick note; the book review on Amazon exposes the books are self published and marred with grammatical and spelling errors.

Sorry if you felt offended. This isn't the first or the last time this "gentleman's" name and his ilk will come up on this forum. Some of us have "bad blood" around this issue and similar issues.

I'll just speak for myself here. Sometimes I like to lighten thinks up now and then to relieve some of the seriousness of the disease we are dealing with. Also at times I get very tired of the amount of ignorance around this disease. A lot of us have had people who don't know beans (liver & beans?) about this disease, tell us what they think we should do to "get over it", "drink more water", "mind over matter" "take this vitamin you'll be fine", "We're all in the same boat. We're all gonna die one day" etc.etc. ad nauseum!!! (Seeing how often ad nauseam is misspelled makes some people want to throw up.) And then even worse are the con man who try to take advantage of some of us for $$$ by saying they have a simple cure. As nygil7 said. If they did have a cure, they could be a billionaire! It’s like the fortunetellers who know everything everything about the mysteries of the universe but they can't figure out the lottery numbers not even once. Can I quote someone I don't like? "Give Me a Break!!! Because there are always people who want a simple easy answer to their suffering there is always someone to fall for this nonsense. Well frankly it can make one quite p’doff after a while.

We are here to help one another by sharing our experiences with this disease. Maybe some people think they are helping with these so called "alternate cures". Ok. I believe in freedom of thought and speech. Ultimately if someone wants to believe the moon is made out of cheese. That is their business. But please don't impose your beliefs on me thank you. I was a hippy in the 60s and 70s. I've heard of more "cures", "religions", "philosophies" "good drugs" than I would care to or can remember. (Too many of those "good drugs"!) Speaking of drugs..how do you think I got exposed to HCV & HCB? So I do know something about ignorance and stupidity. My own!!! And I have seen what has become of those people who in the 60-70s had all "the answers". The ones that survived that is. An it ain't a pretty picture I can tell you.

Mostly I just ignore these people with their simple answers and don't waste my energy responding to every cockamamie idea out there. I've been around for 55 years and if there is one thing I've learned, life ain't simple. It isn't black and white either. And sometimes I like to just make a joke now and then to lighten the mood.

Sorry if you felt is was directed at you for just asking a innocent question from your point of view. But there is a history of certain topics on this forum that can ruffle some of our feathers.

Hope this doesn't offend too many of my fellow heppers.
Just one man's opinion based on my own life's experiences.
Cheers!

Lloyd Wright cannot prove he ever had Hep C. He cannot prove he was in Eric Clapton's band. Still this chump is selling a cure for Hep C on the internet. His sites have moved and changed, plus they are really bad looking internet code that looks really cheesy. Him, a member of Clapton’s band for four + years? PLEASE! I know the Eric Clapton Musical Family tree from the 1963 “The Roosters” to the present. I bet he can scam Nigerian scammers! If I had two minutes with this cat he’d be on the way to the hospital or worse.

Lloyd Wright / Frank Lloyd Wright = NO RELATION, NONE! ZIP! Lloyd Wright, Hep C Cure Seller , probably not real name is an internet scam artist. Try to find real details about him, pictures, studies, etc. You won't! But I'm sure it is easy to send him your money.

thymus?  heady?

I get it. Good one!

You know, this disease really sucks. And its scary. But I figure I can concede to it and let it run my life and my thoughts, or I can manage it as best I can, while living my life with whatever Joy d'Vie I can find.

By the way, what is a Joy d'Vie anyway. Is that something you can buy like at Good Vibrations or something? Double AA's, or or is it packing C's?

I know you were asking a serious question, and I gave you a serious and reasonably well informed answer. I wasn't lying or making anything up, what I said was true. Presumably the truth has value to you? If so, make use of it to your benefit.

As to the light hearted and completely harmless reference to Frank Lloyd Wright the architect (instead of Lloyd Wright the scam artist)...well, if you think that silly little joke was in poor taste and somehow makes light of those with HCV, and therefore it somehow hurts your feelings...all I can say is get over yourself. Pretty much everyone here has a multi-decade chronic case of HCV or HBV, and a few with HIV as well. Some are struggling with cirrhosis and not much hope of treatment success. Some have failed treatment multiple times, meanwhile their livers are slowly slipping into the abyss. Some have had transplants and come very near to death. Some have children with cirrhosis and other serious problems like hemophilia. This isn't some "hobby" chat room, it's real people dealing with *very* real problems. So if you're relatively new to the world of HCV, I'd suggest you toughen up, and suck it up. Hearing and seeing what HCV can do to people's lives can be disturbing, but that doesn't mean we all have to be a bunch of depressing, morose, downtrodden mopes.

jim - LOL, the funny thing is is that I AM a big Frank L. Wright fan. Planning to go to Fallingwater in a few weeks as a matter of fact. Also visited Kentuck knob last year, another of Wright's homes not far from FW in PA.

So nah, I don't think FL Wright was a scam artist. Although on the other hand, quite a few of his creations did have leaky roofs (and other functional problems). Plus, those winglike concrete terraces of fallingwater started to develop cracking/sagging before the house had even been completed (extensive repair/maintenace would ensue for decades to come to cope with it). Wright thought he could just "look" at a design, and artistically/intuitively divine whether or not it was structurally sound, including knowing how much rebar should be in what would ordinarily be considered a very challenging and difficult to support concrete structural element. Those were occasions where Wright bought into his own salesmanship and "genius" hype. He also said "form follows function" (as any good architect would say), but as evidenced by his leaky roofs and cracking concrete, obviously there were times when Wright placed aesthetics above function. Wright was an artist first, and an engineer second; those priorities were reflected in his designs.

Now whether or not Frank L. Wright ever ate cow glands....hmmm. ;-)

web - HAHA, no I don't think he has recipes. Although, I suppose he might have come up with a thymus sushi platter? He described taking it in his book as placing the frozen "NatCell" extract under his tongue and letting it dissolve there. You see, it's impertive that the live cells be ingested, if they're cooked the immune boosting qualities of the thymus cells can't be realized. He never explains how the cells survive the GI tract and avoid being digested by the hydrolchloric acid in your stomach...but that's ok, just BELIEEEEEVVVEEE. ;-)

that Frank L> Wright thing was hilarious, now he IS my favorite architect...while I don't share many of the member's here outright distrust of anything considered "alternative" - that kind of thinking can prevent a patient from finding something that really works to help them feel better and possibly keep down inflammation....I have been helped by some of those things too much over the years...it's the claims that go with some of these products that get me, this "take this and you'll be cured mentality" please send your check too????...and  then of course, some of them are just outright snakeoil...hope everyone has a good weekend...

Does anyone know if Lloyd Wright is related to the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, who had a son named Lloyd Wright, also quite a good architect although not in the league of his dad.  Perhaps the quack is a grandson or something?
